Lyrics:
Shot An Angel

Beautiful fingerprints
rain in the night
chalk lines tracing
the scene of the site
conversations
lips like ice
in the shape
of shadows
to come

in the corner
underneath the sheet
pocket full of names
been meaning to meet
I shot an angel
Shot an angel tonight

Out came the voices
they could have been songs
they could have been heros
in the land of jolly mourners

tonight we lay down
cry like sleep out loud
the hand sweeps us up

the unforgiven
the perfect love
higher than blue
higher than angel blue

The basic song is nice, so are the vocals but with the
loops i get a feeling of snippets roughly quilted together.
Even the volume wavers. I like Your other cleaner guitar
songs better. Even so there's a nice beat and melody
somewhere in this one. I would try to straighten it out,
keeping it simpler and let Your great voice carry the song.
With a voice like Yours, You don't have to have a fat
production. And if You do like what the loops does, do it
on Your guitar. I have no doubt that You can handle it!

funny you should mention it . . . .

We're working on an acoustic version of this one right now . . . Hopefully we'll
have a finished product in about a week. We're tracking it right on top of the
original loops, and then we're letting many of the loops go.

But the loops were very helpful in the composing of the song, which I think
should be a very strong selling point for GarageBand.
