Description

I recently reclaimed my old Casio keyboard from my folks' place and for the most part the sounds are pretty cheesy and thin. I've had some success getting some dirty sounds out of it though by running it through my little Marshall amp with distortion and then miking it up. The main lead that I built this beat around was done like that.

Nice job on the beat! I recently bought a axiom-25 because i've been motivated to make my own beats again so that I can own the rights to my songs. But it's been a slow start hehe... haven't come up with anything this good. Don't you hate it when you have the edits that need to be made, but you've already posted songs and have them on CDs given out.

I have an axiom 25 also. awesome for what it is. love working the drum pads. I long for more keys though, so eventually will upgrade to a 49 or 61 even. that is down the road. I have also found I like tweaking sounds out of the box, hence the old casio. there is something about generating a noise and sending it through an amp that you cant quite get in the software world.

Thanks for the kind words. I revisited your verse on The Mechanic and I absolutely love it. You will likely be the only other rapper featured on this project I am working on. Will keep you posted if I can ever get it off the ground.
