This one goes back even further than that, kind of bringing in a vibe both musically and lyrically from my mid to late 80s college days. A fun song to do for lots of reasons.

First of all, congratulations on eight years here at MJ.
Now to the song. I love the lyrics. They are abstract enough for anybody to relate to and find personal meaning within. Love your vocal. The double tracking and delay are very effective. Cool chorus and I really dig the harmony there.
Great driving backing track. The bass pumps along while adding cool little melodic figures underneath (Very Mike Mills). The little descending guitar lines work great. They add atmosphere that matches up perfectly with the mood of the lyrics.
