Description

Well my worst nightmare. 2 nights ago I went downstairs to work on this song and when I went to open it GB said it was corrupted and I didn't have any access to it whatsoever. I had worked on a rough mix the night before and saved it like I always do.... I did make an mp3 of my 3 guitar tracks and addictive drum track. ... So I started a new project and worked over an mp3 not being able to tweak and mix my guitars. So then last night I did the vocals and this morning some of my vocal tracks were corrupted!! I give up ... so I just re-did them this morning and my final mix. Someone does not want me to do this song...
So here it is ...

about a young boy who feels alone and wants to runaway.

	Hey Relic! ... thanks for your feedback ... I had originally (well I thought so anyway) done some interesting harmonies in my original takes but they were all lost to a computer glitch ... the original female soul singers quit and I had to quickly hire some new ones LOL. Gorgeous guitars - I love all the layers. Interesting narrative in the lyrics. Warm vocal with plenty of heart. I like the multiple harmonies, The solo work from 3:23 that takes the song out is beautifully fluid and expressive, and again I like the multiple guitars at work. Downloaded and added to my collection of your music - thanks, Stan!

Hi Philip!
This was a frustrating experience and at one point I feel I had better harmonies but those tracks are gone somewhere in cyber space. I always find first and second takes of vocals or instruments generally have more feel ... I prefer getting a good feel over being too tight and polished ... anyway, coffee's kicking in and I'm starting to babble.

Ah, the dangers of entrusting our musical creations to the almighty computer. Thing is, you never can tell when your computer is going to decide to be bad. Sounds like you made a nice recovery - great tune, and some very cool guitar noodling, especially the end there. Thanks for sharing your pain!

Pressed download as soon as those wonderful guitars established the groove. Liking the vocal on this a lot, Stan. Sounds like the difficult journey was worth the effort to me. Glad you persevered. The solo alone was worth the price of admission. Any moves to try and comercialize your work, Stan? You'd have my money without hesitation. In the meantime, thanks for the great free music. 	Great playing here that country stuff is cool but not easy to integrate in a song if you`re not a natural born country boy.. But you make it really good, I`m impressed. Maybe you could have made the rhythm guitar a tad louder especially in the verse to strengthen up the melody part of the voice, but that`s just my personal opinion. Cool tune!
