Lyrics
she's standing by the bed
with a towel on her head
saying baby whats the matter
he runs into the room
he's babbling like a lunatic, madder than a hatter
well someone at the bank made a big mistake
to the tune of four million bills
I know business isn't great,
our relationship's fading
but things just got much better.
a decimal got flipped, or the teller made a slip
- got careless with a zero.
she says we better play it smart,
or this thing's a non-starter
let's sleep on it til tomorrow
with her hand on her hips and a curl of her lips
she had a kinda dangerous look;
he says I haven't seen that smile now for quite a long while
but I really think it suits ya
i see you're going the wrong way
i see you're going the wrong way
plain as day you're going the wrong way
I'm coming too.
NExt morning first thing,
they check out the ATM,
they weren't dreaming… it's a windfall
she runs off to a shop that sells recycled clothes
then its lunchtime at mcdonalds.
blows right thru the limit on an all-day spree
you can laugh if you have to laugh
but rich equals free
and freedom merely means
you can do just what you wanna
back home he's at the screen with a serious mien
saying hon I've been researching
we can wash most of this cash into poker chips
at a big Macau casino
a few more clicks net some airline tix
they're heading off to China today
holding hands in first class hearts beating so fast
man they don't what they're doing
just like anyone else would do
just like anyone else
end of the song, it wasn't very long before the racket was discovered
I heard they split up and he's somewhere in Hong Kong
and the funds were not recovered.
She's back at home, now she's living alone &
spending lots of time with her lawyer
you can still catch a glimpse of that dangerous smile
if you look a little closer
with a towel on her head
saying baby whats the matter
he runs into the room
he's babbling like a lunatic, madder than a hatter

The more I listen to your work I'm recognizing a style ... kind of pop but not ... ... Ray Davies, Kinks a little .. .always interesting chord progressions. That bridge is real nice ... like the changes in there. Great lyrics and story and just a well crafted tune.
Cheers
