Hi Sam I was wondering about putting some vocals on. It's hard to gauge the bass on my primitive gear. I usually turn it down a bit. I'll take it down another notch when I revisit this. As ever, thanks for the helpful remarks. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

The Clockwork Cat Love the Tony Levin vibe happening here! There are some very cool open strings (I think) droning away on the guitar giving this a very authentic Eastern sound. The hand claps are a perfect addition to the arrangement. Do I hear an electric piano on the right? Such a great sound and very effective. The rocking B section is a departure but it all works together. Very enjoyable track! Check out my latest song called Just Ain't Worth a Song (2 Track)

The Clap As I don't have a drum kit I use hands and my wife's tambourine for percussion. Thanks for the kind remarks, Mr Bass. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

The Clockwork Cat The claps are great. repetitive riffing is very cool ... is that an acoustic guitar doing that? This would be great with vocals. Enjoyed your playing... Cheers SG Check out my latest song called Song of Life

It's the Ovation doing most of the work here. It has the advantage of staying in tune when compared with the SX electric. I think it's becoming clear that this needs some vocals. I've already tweaked the bass, so the "singing" is next on the list. Thanks for stopping by, Mr Zooks. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

I miss my cat - that's why. She wasn't clockwork, just a good cat. Would that be the "Jig a Jig" East of Eden? If so, I must have a listen, as I haven't heard it in years. Thanks for your interest, Jarvo. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

YES it was Jig a Jig...based I think on a tune called "Drowsy Maggie"...it's a fiendishly deceptively difficult little riff ,but it's one of my all time favourite tunes...both are actually J Check out my latest song called Cripple Creek Revised........By Jarvoid and the Banjo Bedraggled Manic Mandolin Accordion Squeezers

Vocals done ... and the new title is "Your Life's a Song" I now need to remix and do something about the apparently thunderous bass, which became evident today as I was listening in the car. Jangly Beatle - esque arpeggios also on the way for the end bit. Thanks for listening, Paula. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

I dunno I find it hard to categorise other people's music, let alone something I'm intimately involved with. (How would you label Fiona Apple's new one, for example - depressing caberet music? Uplifting suicide music? Folk?) Anyway, the vocals are done, and the tossed - together lyrics aren't too embarrassing, and I realise the finale needs some arpeggios, which is something that I love doing and listening to, so whoopee. Ta for stopping by. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

i really like the sound of how you recorded this, particularly those claps--spacious and roomy at the same time. the bass is a bit strong, but that's not *that* much of a bad thing to me. i would have loved to hear you sing on this one.
