Description
a combination of going to my 40th HS reunion, first one i have attended, and a bike ride to work, stringing together a stream of jogged memories from friends that are no longer here...or my usual stream of conscienceness that directs most of my stories.

Lyrics
Well the neighborhoods
Still hot tonight
From the afternoons punishing sun
And the electric grid
Is singing a song
And everybody’s windows are humming along
Every morning I pass
A shirtless man
Standing on the corner
Outside of a bar
He’s got a look on his face
Like he is waiting for someone
And I wonder if they ever arrive
Every time I see you I want to say I am sorry
Sorry for slipping away
I get to the edge of where I left you
And you say its ok
Ya you say its ok
The call that never came
I help you out of bed
Down to the store to get your meds
Are you still wondering
Where I am
I can barely hear you from here.
My little book of words
Freshens up my mind
After the storm
Shaving away the promises that I have broken
Picking up the pieces
Listen for your breathing
Some remain
Some are gone
But the brightest lights
That ive ever known
You build the fire and I wander away
You stand there shirtless and waiting
Some are gone
Some remain
Still hot tonight
From the afternoons punishing sun
And the electric grid
Is singing a song
And everybody’s windows are humming along
Every morning I pass
A shirtless man
Standing on the corner
Outside of a bar
He’s got a look on his face
Like he is waiting for someone
And I wonder if they ever arrive
Every time I see you I want to say I am sorry
Sorry for slipping away
I get to the edge of where I left you
And you say its ok
Ya you say its ok
The call that never came
I help you out of bed
Down to the store to get your meds
Are you still wondering
Where I am
I can barely hear you from here.
My little book of words
Freshens up my mind
After the storm
Shaving away the promises that I have broken
Picking up the pieces

You build the fire and I wander away
You stand there shirtless and waiting
Some are gone
Some remain
