Lyrics
Getting off the train in flaming Shin-Matsudo and rushing to platform four of the flaming Musashino. The Musashino. 7:55 Tokyo train, it's jam-packed solid and I can't move at all and I know that it's curtains if I fall.

Gets worse past Nishi-Funabashi: unwanted lessons in intimacy.

Try and take my mind off it by checking out the beautiful but the only thing visible is a wall of people. There's a bloke to my right, had natto for breakfast and I can't breathe at all and I see that my bag's unreachable.
There's a fellow to my left, his Tourette's proud, his mutters loud and I can hear it all and I feel a touch irritable.

Oh boy.
That sounds like the train ride from hell.
I love your chorus and the way you write and sing.
I have to look up "natto" now. I was thinking horseradish but it could be some kind of fermented fish. Fun, as are all your musical outings. Ste, you are 1 of a kind.

I was right
about the fermented part, but it is a soybean concoction that's sticky and smelly.

bullet train
When ever I see film of people on the tokyo metro I always shudder.
It's bad enough on the london underground.
Anyway, love it and especially like the ' unwanted lessons in intimacy' line.
Great stuff
cheers

Great track - solid bass line
I like the background organ too - almost like a carnival sound. The ambience break is inspired. Good solid rocker.

The driving backing suits the them well. Good energetic vocal. I like the break around 1:35 that uses the station sounds. I've never been to Tokyo - guess I'll avoid the trains at peak hour if ever I do get there!

Welcome back Ste. Solid rocker. Strong melody, interesting lyrics. That train must inspire you, I can remember other train themed lyrics in your songs.

Nice story. One of my Japanese friends tried to get me to eat natto once, It wasn't happening. I've also read about the culture of gropers on the trains over there. At least people are using public transport, no such thing where I'm from.

We've been missing your punk energy around here! Mass transit's a bitch! You captured the angst!

Urban morning
I think this song does a great job at capturing an urban moment - the crush of the morning commute.

I like how your writing is poetic prose, with the near-rhymes keeping it lyrical.
