Description
When I was 21 or 22 I wrote an EP about where I lived. It started with a song about the street I grew up on, then the town I lived in, then the county I lived in, and finally the state I lived in. This is the 4th and final song. It wasn't a glowing review of my situation at the time, but it is what it is. We're far from perfect. Hell, we're barely presentable. But it's home. We'll have this puppy turned around in 5-10 years.
I recorded this on my bed, playing and singing in one take in to the pinhole mic (I think my interface is busted). I then did a bit of noodling over the top and that's about it. Then I tried to clean it up the best I could. I'm averaging 1 song every 8 months. Fever clip!

Lyrics
Pipe dream living never felt so fine
Ignorance houses all your dreams of the sublime
From the Black Canyon Freeway to the
Red Rocks of Sedona.
I've never liked Arizona.
Yard sale weekends and the PTA
I just graduated from minimum wage.
I can't keep up with this
keeping up with the Jones'
Keep me out of Arizona
I've given it time to come around
I've given more time than I should have allowed.
So far it's selling short and not
quite meeting its quota
I am sold out of Arizona
I've dug up bones and I've shown the light
I pray that I have set you right.
And I'm well aware after
all that I have shown ya
There is no excuse for Arizona
Friends, you've taken this lesson well.
But I've one question, do pray tell
Will you, won't you, can you not?
Or are you even gonna
Move away from Arizona
Life is just a gruesome, post-apocalyptic coma.
Living here in Arizona.

Red Rocks of Sedona.
