Thanks, Alec I checked out your latest before responding, and it made mine seem very odd in comparison! But I take your point about XTC and am very happy to be compared to them. This tune needs a lot of tweaking (if not total rerecording) but I thought it was at a point where I could make it available for criticism. Also, Spartacus (the TV show) is just brilliant! Crixus I recorded most of it back to front, starting with the second section. The first bit was the most problematic, so may change in future incarnations. Thank you for your interest and comments. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

Gannicus Thanks, Michael. I may have another go at this one today, as I'm still not happy with Part One. Or I may muck about in the garden. Decisions, decisions. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

Servility I like the smoothness of the later part of this, with the instruments used all sitting well together and complementing each other. I like the first part too - nice tone to the guitars and solid riff underneath things. Vocals are well done and I like the arrangement. I enjoyed listening! Naevia The vocals need some tidying, and as it's raining I'll be dealing with that this morning. Thanks for your comments, Philip. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

Servility Well, what a happy discovery! Here you are, wedged in, as it were. Lovely, lovely. Maybe a glitch or two, but hardly distracting from the overall goodness of this piece. Unique. Although I was reminded of We Have Heaven by Yes (which cannot be a bad thing in my humble book). I'm not registering a distinct division between the "first bit" and the "second part." Possibly the result of my incoherent way of making music, but I see (hear) this as being fully unified. Check out my latest song called SugarBubbleWater

You spotted it after I did! I love "Fragile" apart from "Cans and Brahms". I realised afterwards that part of this is stolen directly from "We Have Heaven". I've redone all the vocals on this, but I've kept a little bit of "Heaven", and tidied up the backing vocals. I resisted the urge to put some howler monkeys in there. Always a pleasure, Mr Kloo. Ashur Yes, it's a very jolly call to murderous uprising! But if you've seen the show, you're with Sparty all the way. I have to do something to pass the time until the new season. Glad you enjoyed it, Mr Bandit. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

Yeah Stick it to the man..... as Dewy would have said in "The School of Rock" Very interesting use of vocals at the beginning ,my ears seemed to be out of "focus" until they latched into what was going on ....enjoyed,sort of steel Hawaii flavoured (well at the end anyway) protest song ....that takes some doing Jarvo Check out my latest song called Cripple Creek Revised........By Jarvoid and the Banjo Bedraggled Manic Mandolin Accordion Squeezers

Vesuvius Thanks for giving it a listen, Jarv. I lost count of the individual tracks. I had to mix down all the music to two tracks before adding vocals as the Mac was running out of memory. The newer version is a bit simpler, but I think the better for it. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

This is very good. Once again you're reminding me of XTC at their absolute best! Great writing and a simply astounding arrangement! Stellar production! Downloaded!
