Description
This piece is composed by my wife. Catherine actually doesn't play an instrument now, but she is an interested listener and quite often she has interesting melody ideas too, but most of the time, they unfortunately vanish by the time we can work them out. This song consists of several different themes she came up with. She then recorded these melodies so that we could bind them together into a single piece.
So I started working, using these themes, but putting them all together has been quite a challenge for me. As those ideas came at different times, they followed different measures. So while I was consolidating them, I ended up with a piece starting in 6/8, then following 2/4, 4/4, and 5/4 measures and passing constantly from one to another.
I wanted to follow as much as possible the original ideas so I tried to transcribe all these ideas without any change or transformation.
Then I continued working on the arrangement. As the violins play the main themes, cello, viola, horns, flute, percussions and piano build up the accompaniment.
I also tried to apply some new knowledge I got recently about mixing and mastering. On that chapter, I'd very much appreciate feedback. Please put the bar high and don't hesitate to give me feedback openly about where the improvements can be made on that aspect.
Many thanks for your visit, and I hope you enjoy this piece composed by Catherine.

sounds good to me as a whole except i wouldn't mind hearing the plucked strings on the left just a hair louder (starting ~:43). when it switches to bowed, the vol is perfect, but the 'plucks' could use a touch more "something." I'm talking 'hairs' here.
