Description
GrooveMaker Series
GrooveMaker is an iOS app which allows you to arrange a variety of samples (loops) in a variety of ways, usually within a genre. After trying the free version I sprang for the Reggae, mon, and finally got a chance to put it through its paces early last year while I was away from the computer.
Like many of these apps, they are somewhat limited and limiting. I put together a dozen or so tracks using the app but I treated them as sketches for something better. Several I thought might benefit from further work so I imported the relevant samples into Garageband, remixed, added effects, delay, EQ, etc. Just before Halloween this year I posted Omniphobia, which has a backer made with GrooveMaker. In early December I posted Summer Nocturne (feat/awigze) which has some tasty sax additions by Andy Wigzell. At Christmastime, for a change of pace, I posted Searchin', and in early March I posted Deadbeat.
*****
This tune, to me, is fun, upbeat and slightly frivolous and for some reason put me in mind of one of my favourite pastimes, girl watching. It consists of a bass, several drum tracks, 4 synth tracks, a couple of brass tracks, and piano.
The image is from the web. I hope you enjoy both the music and the visual.
