Really Hot levels &mdash 02/24/05 - 02:54:38 AM
This track starts out great, and about a third into into it
the levels become really hot. They are hot past the point
of clipping and distortion, and I would recommend
another mixcown session. This piece has some great
elements, but the hot levels really hurt it overall in my
opinion.

Conversion to Mp3/audio issues &mdash 02/24/05 - 05:05:45 AM
I have had problems before with levels, especially coming
out of Garageband. Your piece--which does sound like a
film soundtrack--may have been mixed well in GB but
could have become distorted in the conversion. Check out
a forum post on this site from Tobin Mueller on using
LAME to convert to mp3. (Just use the search engine in
Forum Posts and type in LAME.) You might bring all the
levels down in Garageband, too, and see if that helps.

Nice job.

p.s. when you submitted this song, it looks like you
accidentally checked "Explicit Content." You can edit your
submission and remove that.

Another Suggestion &mdash 03/06/05 - 06:37:06 AM
Since you are not creating "songs" but rather sections of
music to fit an imaginary soundtrack, you might want to
put your soundtrack music into the game/soundtrack
genre.
The reason I mention this is that if people were to listen to
this without reading the description, they might think this
is not a very good "song" (like one you'd hear on the
radio), but it is quite all right as part of a soundtrack.

BTW, I liked how you put this together.

I liked the beginning, but agree the volumes were clipping.
