Description
2 in the morning ... A song by another artist on this site, Golden Gate, is bouncing in my head, love his drum loop, it's a time thing. I've been putting off a posting a song for too long so and what better song to contribute to than this creation by Ringo. Thanks Ringo for letting me take a stab at it.

Original can be found at: [Golden Gate]

Please let me know if the bass track is too hot in the mix. My headphones make a poor reference.

goin' on. very "soaring" . it makes me think of "top

makes me feel the need for speed. nice job. good

Thanks. I can't take any credit beyond the bass track. This is actually an
original of Ringo's, who is one talented cat, who was kind enough to let me
add me 2 cents to a great composition. Others have done the same, check
out fosod's 'RINGO!' for yet another variation of this tune.

perfect addition
Your bass track is the perfect addition to an already great piece of music. It needed exactly what you gave it.

Bring it on
Bass is not too hot. Fills up my Sherwood speakers. Good
job.

Nimble
Love burbling bass lines, Mike Rutherford would be proud of this one. Particularly like the bit where you go up against the chords dropping from Ebmaj7 to Dmin7.

One of the comments I originally got was that it needed Tony Levin on the bass.

I think I just found him...

Thank you so much for doing this. I still think this is my best piece by a mile and you have given it a new lease of life.

Cheers,

Ringo

Wow... thank you. Your comments are very much appreciated. To be
compared in any way with the likes of Tony Levin, well ... you're very
gracious, I'm blown away.
I'm hoping you'll get some free time to convert your creative juices to binary
and post more of your great stuff! I love this song of yours and have been
looking for something to be my 1st post since I've joined. While I've started a
number of songs, I keep hitting the proverbial brick wall before completing
them. So this has been a great opportunity to stop beating my head against
that wall and POST!
I've enjoyed your creations very much and look forward to your future
contributions to the site. I hope to have another chance to add a little
something to one of your ideas.

Cheers mate

Bridge extension
Great addition to an uplifting track that could roll on
forever. Yes, I eagerly await more from Ringo. And the
bass seems mixed in just right. Perfect road work, you
two.

good rendition
Yes, this is a great tune, and you did it justice. Everything
fits together well as far as sound choices is concerned.

There's something about the mix which doesn't sound
quite right to my ears, though. I'm not an experienced
enough at recording yet to know what it is, exactly....but
there's something which needs minor adjustment.

The mix sounds a bit "dense" and clumped together,
almost claustrophobic. Does this make any sense?

The guitar chords provide the main melodic theme, the
"back-bone" of the piece. Through my headphones, this
guitar sounds far away, sort of by itself on the left, while
the rather thick accompaniment almost covers it up. It
seems to me that the guitar needs to be more prominent,
somehow, since it's the main idea.

Although I've gone to some length here (maybe too much,
LOL!) trying to describe these things -- it's actually minor
stuff. This is basically a good rendition of this excellent
tune.

New Age Rockin'
New Age Rock, like a lullaby. You had me flying between
the cables... playing them like angels with fingers the size
of ships. Rock me to the sea, you guys. A Bay of Gold.

Rockin'
You're right about the drums: Fantastic beat. Perfect for that sweet bass line. Maybe a little heavy on the crash though. Great mix - levels are sot on. I think a bridge would work wonders, just to mix it up a bit. It's bordering on the repetitive, just. Great sound though, dude. I like it!

Good bass
I think the bass is mixed in pretty well. The only part about
this song that bugs me is the one guitar that is pretty much
playing single notes throughout the whole song. I would like
to see that guitar less in the mix and the and guitar part that
is more busy and interesting brought up more in the mix.
Just my two cents, hope this helps.
