I found this tune that I had redone about a month ago... thought I'd post it here. This tune is way out of my comfort zone. For the last 4 or 5 months I've been writing mainly musical theatre tunes. Thought I'd try and do something a little different and this was it.

I had posted this tune in a different version a while ago... though it never felt right to me. This version, I feel, is much improved.

Lyrics:

I like the proggy keyboard solo very much - in fact all
the instrumental sections are excellent. I think the
vocals could be made to stand out a little more ...
they are slightly drowned by the guitar ... otherwise
very nice.

Thanks for the feedback! I mixed it soo many times it all started to blur together. Hmmm... I think the last thing I did was raise the guitar level! Oh well!

I agree the keyboard solo was very cool. As far as the mix
goes I agree the vocals could be more dominant... that
doesn't mean I'd reduce the levels on the other tracks,
however.

Nice song... I really like the fade out with the bass. What
was the scratching sound?

O gosh a contractors nightmare :)

The words sounds like remodeling contractor running into
problems.

Lots of nice guitar funk.

When I pick I like to use a medium too:)



So when people comment on a nice pic, it has a double
meaning:)

Reminds me of paisley and bellbottoms. I can see the
music video, guys with headbands running around a
colorful slum neighborhood, running into strange old
people and police around every turn. Alternating between
singing verses and looking surprised into the camera. Full
of fun. Loved that vintage organ.
