good playing
sounds like it could be from a movie soundtrack.
also reminds of a modern day rag, with a slower
tempo. nice job

Deep into Monk territory
Very Thelonius. My only problem is rhythm. Call me old
fashioned, but I feel like this needs a beat to hold it
together. At least at some point I'd like to hear the bass
and piano sharing some vague metre. Still, this has a very
free feel to it, as if the instruments are sharing some very
loose and shadowy boundaries. Very loose.

Good theme, at the beginning and end. You are turning
out some very spare and interesting music.

Thoroughly Enjoyable
I don't know enough jazz to offer much in the way of constructive comments, but I like this performance. I can clearly hear the thoughts of the musician behind both instruments. That's not something that always comes across in music. I also like the simplicity of only two instruments. I found this both interesting and compelling. Downloaded. Thanks!

Monkin' around
Some great moments. Interesting how the bass player is
more of a duetist on the soloist side than grounding the
progression like a normal bass line. The track takes a long
time to get going (for me). And there are perhaps too
many moments when the bass seems to be reacting late,
as if he can't find a place to fit it, and doesn't sync up
right. But I love the Monk feel.

many dollars to you
Seriously cool. It's nice to hear some real musicality here. Maybe try a flute solo in there somewhere though. :)

really keyed up
great piano, found the bass wandered in and out a little much for this style of jazz. If the piano was more abstract or the bass a little more solid for most of the song (my preference) it might have been even better. But, nice piece, I quite like it.
