Description:
One of my more positive songs

Lyrics:
I need no one tonite.
Take your hands away from me
Walk away this is what I see
You're all alone in the dark
Writing words, making art

If this is your positive stuff... &mdash 02/26/05 - 06:51:15 AM
then I don't think I could handle the negative stuff.

Well crafted song and beautifully sung. I liked how you
came back to the simple piano at the very end. Good way
to finish.

I also was digging the feeling of quiet desperation in your voice.

subtle &mdash 02/26/05 - 09:16:49 AM
i like the subtlety of the distorted guitar and other instrument...it makes it interesting to listen to multiple times because you discover new tracks.

Carry it &mdash 02/26/05 - 11:24:46 AM
Such a great voice. Such a voice can carry a tune. You sing
with emotion, too, and honesty. The track is maybe a
little too sparse, but it is simple and arresting. Really nice.
I also think the momentary self-centeredness and need
for solitude in the creative process getting its own song is
very cool.

No Radio Ga-Ga here! &mdash 02/27/05 - 02:25:20 PM
I really like this song and wow you're a strong vocalist! The minimal piano in the opening only underscores the strength of the melody and of your voice. The harmonies are very tasteful. I hear a little Freddie Mercury in your performance!

Excellent piece! I'd love to hear you collab with some of the other songwriters in the community!

Very good writing and fantastic singing. Maybe it could use a little something more in the arrangement but I like the simplicity overall.

nice.... &mdash 02/28/05 - 07:51:09 AM
...voice. Really enjoyed this song.

And I heard an echo of Freddie Mercury there, too, as you
reached to the higher tones.

Looking forward to hearing more.

I hear some Roger Waters in there. I would have left the piano walking notes in instead of dropping them out when the strumming guitar came in, maybe just lowered the piano volume a bit -- I felt too much drop out of the song when they left. Anyway, I'm just constructively quibbling (or is it kibbitzing?)
