BWV 865 - [prelude - JS Bach]

Description
This is from the 48 preludes and fugues [book one]written around 1722. I suppose it is what you might call a cover!

The quality is not brilliant because it was recorded in the prebendal house at Llandaff Cathedral on one of those little recording devices you can buy - I hope that doesn't detract from it too much.

Excellent playing ...
live quality does not detract but rather adds .....and I have just made up a joke .....After making Expndables 2 Bruce Willis,Sly Stallone and Arnie Scwarzenneger are reflecting on their movie histories....Sly says that he would like to make a one time serious and introspective movie about classical composers in which he would like to play Guiseppe Verdi....Bruce Willis took a moments contemplation and said that any composer who could write a piece of music that had artillery pieces in it had to be cool so he would like to portray Pyotr Tschaikowsky......Arnie just smiled quietly.....

You are the worlds first to read that ......and I just bet you never saw the Terminator.....sod it.....

still back on track, cracking good one

cheers

Merry Crimble ,that is if you do it ....if not well Have a Good One

thanks for the joke -
no I'm afraid I've never seen the Terminator. I am of course aware of the three people you mention though, especially Sylvester Stallone who for some reason has always reminded me of a chicken.

Thanks for listening Jarvoid and for your always entertaining input.

Merry Christmas to you as well.

AAAAAAAggh I knew it
.........Arnies catch phrase is " I'll be back " which sounds like Bach in his Austrian accent......banging the floor and chewing the carpet in disbelief ............. 80)

I'll be Bach,
says Arnie (cute joke Chris).

I don't understand how you can get so many notes out of one of those little recording devices; they don't seem to have enough buttons.

Ok, ok; I'll be serious (was he a great composer too?) Sorry John, didn't mean to mess up your comments section. Like Andrew, I admire anyone who can play Bach (or forward ;-)

Damn; time for my meds.

thanks Dick
I used to play this piece many years ago when I was in my twenties along with other Bach pieces but then let it all go. A mistake, but now I have some time to spend on music once again and so I share ny time between practicing this sort of stuff and writing short pieces and daft songs which I think gives me my greatest pleasure. Hope you're well fella,

John.

Bob
thank you, I learn something from each and everyone of these pieces I play. Because I am not a good sight reader I am more or less forced to question and analyze every tiny piece as I go along. Every cloud has a silver lining they say.
