Lyrics
Do you remember when we were young we'd find anything, anywhere
to occupy our time
I had no money and you had no car
But we did have our bargain guitars whoa

I wonder what life you found
I catch a glimpse on index of faces
oh we look so different now
I miss your persuasive smile

culdasac surounds some memories sitting beneath that willow tree whoa
plum wine accents the cigarettes, as marley spoke of no regrets no

I wonder what life you found
I catch a glimpse on index of faces
oh we look so different now
I miss your persuasive smile

Three for three
I like the way the guitars work - they have a nice flow. Emotive vocal. Good lyrics. I like this a lot!

Hello Daniel
I just returned to macjams from a much needed hiatus. Yu have a great voice dude! Excellent post I'd bring the guitar down or the vocals up in the mix but wow! nice job! jd.

Welcome to MJ. Love the vocals. I would move the vox up in the mix a bit.

Superb performances.
Guitar and vocals all completely appropriate for each other and there's plenty of emotion in that voice. I agree that the vocals are a bit to far back somehow; might have too much reverb on them, or might just be too low in the mix. Even with that this is superb, thanks for posting it here.

hearing this in an intimate, coffeehouse type of setting. Very nice. Thanks.

Nice work
This is a very lovely song. If you have not checked them out, you may like Nick Drake and David Wilcox. Your sound is different, but you may find them to be kindred spirits.

I went to look at your video, which was great. I thought your dog's reaction to the song was priceless :-)

Appreciated
Once again, thanks for all your kind comments. I really am pleased that you all enjoyed it. If I go for a round two on mixing i will definitely mess around with the vocal volume. I hear what you all are talking about, especially on the first line for "anything, anywhere." I always overlook that kind of stuff.

Ha ha TommyBlueBoy, my dog really wanted me to play with him while I was making the video. If you wear high quality ear phones you can here a low thump at the beginning when he's playing with the pop filter. lol i left it in the mix.

I am glad you kept the dog in the mix. Next time you will have to include him in the credits.

Very nice indeed!
Beautiful recording of the guitars for starters. Vocals too. Lovely pro mix and fine playing and singing. I think JD has hit the nail on the head with the mix balance - maybe dropping the guitars back just a tad so your voice shines through.

I'm sitting in south-east Australia sweltering this afternoon - I guess Anchorage is a little cooler ;)

Cheers from Oz,
Neil
