Description
I’ve tried some uncommon vocal arrangements here at MacJams in the past, but I seem to have some difficulties ”selling” it to You guys ;-) So this time I’m trying a more ”straight” approach. Well, I hope You’ll like it.

Lyrics
Nowhere too fast
You know the bus that we are riding,
a lonely ride where you pay what you earn
There aint no running away or hiding,
we’re on a one-way street, no return
Going through life looking out the window,
I can see you driving in style
I wish that i could be there right beside you,
just to ride with you for a mile
You’re in the wrong lane heading west
I’m going nowhere too fast
There’s no stop and there’s no arriving,
mile after mile and day after day
I can tell there’s no-one driving
and nobody else is going my way
You know the bus that we are riding,
a lonely ride where you pay what you earn
There aint no running away or hiding,
we’re on a one-way street, no return
Going through life looking out the window,
I can see you driving in style
I wish that i could be there right beside you,
just to ride with you for a mile
You’re in the wrong lane heading west
I’m going nowhere too fast
There’s no stop and there’s no arriving,
mile after mile and day after day
I can tell there’s no-one driving
and nobody else is going my way

I liked your song.
It had a really cool way of sounding like thick as a
brick meets hazy shade of winter.
I have to say your vocals sound alot like Ian ? from
Jethro Tull. That's fine by me too, and when they
aren't they sound like John Mayal! I loved that to be
honest.
Good use of tension and build-up. This is a fantastic
raw base for a really kick ass song. I think room for
improvement is mostly in the mixing and production.
Where I would put additional attention:
1.) The drums. Needs more variation and texturing.
Don't use too many fills.
2.) Experiment with the (Wurli?) sound more to make
it thicker sounding.
3.) Eq and texture on the bass. Thin down around 3k,
and try a little 100hz.
4.) Try boosting up the volume and thickeness of the
solo/instrumental break. Would make more of a
crescendo sorta thing happen. (definitely work on
the drums during the solo)
5.) Try altering the guitar and keys sounds a little
more during the solo to help them become more
differentiated from the rythym parts.
6.) Back this up, you don't want to lose it.
Great tune.
