Garageband for arrangement, though I made some of the melodies synths using Cubase synth A1.

No loops except for a fairly heavily chopped 'firefighter' (courtesy of www.drumnbass.be downloads). Other than that all melodies etc made by my own fair hands.

Here's a nice samwich for you B...
This song offends Churchill fans somewhere, and is
enjoyable to beat lovers everywhere....

I can't speak for everyone...but I think combining
history with modern beats and arrangements is a
sweet contrast. There's alot of kewl stuff like this
here on mac j's. Lot's of kewl monter film samples
and there's another guy mixing alot of Will S.
Burroughs to music. Check 'em out for other
examples of where people are taking this lately.

I know I loved how Pink Floyd mixed alot of clips
from British WWII stuff into the Wall and so forth..

It's a natural evolution to take the idea to the
electronic pump house dub and mix it up in a pot of
famous voices and moments. When you combine the
two it adds familiarlarity to the sounds and makes
immediately interesting.

I think you could work on your own styles more too,
so that your talent pours out of the song more, not
just the gimmick of some crusty old due's voice
tracks. You didn't really 'make it your own' as well as
I've heard others do with material like this...so that's
where I see room for improvements.

Plus Deputy Doofy's observations were good for you
to note. You'll get more of the comments if you give
what you wanna get....moving forward. I don't hold it
against you, but the Rated G jammers have their
agendas. You'll need to play the game if you want
some time on the field.

kinda cool
I personally don't care for this combination of Winston
Churchill with this electronica/dance music, but at least
you did spend time putting it together.

I like the musical sections without the voice snippets,
actually. You've got some good percussion grooves going.
I'd like to hear you do another tune with just music.
Definitely potential there.

As to wanting feedback for your songs, I agree with
deputydoofy and UncleSamwich. You definitely need to
participate more in this site before you can reasonably
expect people to do the same for you. Start listening to
songs in your favorite genres, vote and MAKE COMMENTS!

Everybody who's got a set of ears to hear with are
qualified. And you'll definitely learn something about how
to improve your own tunes by listening to others' work.

Best of luck with all that!

Not enough for a vote...
I'll make some quick comments, but generall if you're
looking for votes we need to see more about the song like
what software you used, is it all loops or did you play
instruments... what instruments used... etc.

These are necessary to know how to vote. Factory loops
for the most part come pre-produced and sound good out
of the box. If you played a guitar part, your skill is a
factor as well as how you produced your tone... see how
this works?

Anyway, from my first listen it's a competent techno
arrangement with some nice historical passages. But it
needs something to generate some interest towards the
end of the tune... it was starting to feel too repetive.

Cheers. You maybe right, so I've updated the song info. As you can see: it
was made primarily in Garageband, though I used some synths from Cubase;
no loops except for a chopped firefighter rythym courtesy of
www.drumnbass.be

Oh and by the way, If you're interested, its not "techno", its drum and bass -
which, though it shares some roots and similariities, is quite a different and
self contained genre. Shame it isn't acknowledged in the genre list.

Not enough for a vote...
Oh yeah, and I would very much agree about the song being too repetitive:
was looking for a final twist in the tail, but I didn't want to detract from any
dance floor appeal it might have.

My apologies about the misused "techno" genre. I was generalizing.
