Joe Cocker meets Steve Wonder I really like your jazz submissions and can hear many of the same qualities in the instrumental composition here. The instruments "sing" as often as the vocalist and the backing is refreshingly loose and layered for a "pop" tune. The vocals here? I'm not so sure. There's a lot of character in the performance, which had some fun and creative moments, and the singer has an appealing tone. I found it really hard to make out the lyrics. Maybe that isn't important or it might be something in the recording or mixing. At any rate its a fun song with many more musical ideas in it than implied by the label "pop!"
