Description
If you're expecting my usual type of post, then this one may be a little 'loud' or intense for your taste. Had a bit of trouble getting a good night's sleep the last few days (noisy tenants and secondhand smoke issues...) and creating this must have been cathartic - after bouncing the aif file I slept like a baby.

Turned out to be a nice challenge to get a decent mix for this little monster of a track. There are about 6 or 7 live recorded tracks, to give the mix a more organic feel. The headphones I use have a very forgiving soundstage (I can carefully place/pan the instruments and then they still sound like mud on speakers!), so I'd be happy to hear what it sounds like through your own speakers/headphones.

And in case you are familiar with Emancipator's clean and light tracks of a similar nature (Vines, Lionheart), or E.S. Posthumus earlier work with their signature transparent, saturated and powerful orchestra/synth/drum mixes...

...this track is neither, but it's free:)

Photo by Chahida. You're looking down the cliffs somewhere in Iceland. Somehow the water became red to match the title.

Loud? You don't know loud ;-)
I will agree though that you got a great mix here. I first listened through speakers and then again through headphones and I think I heard many layers: acoustic guitar, keys, electric guitar, drums. There may be several acoustic and electric tracks, my ears aren't that good. But overall it is a lovely, cohesive, nuanced, multi-layered delight of a tune and I thank you for making downloads available.
I can't help you with the Google problem but my wife makes the best fluffy scrambled eggs in the world imho, and I'd be happy to pass the directions along if you send me a PM. Cheers.

I probably don't :)
Thanks for taking your time. It's reassuring that it didn't break your speakers and thanks also for the recipe offer - it was kind of a joke on my side, but I may take you up on that!

Sleep music
I'm listening with headphones - my preferred choice - and it sounds great.

And what I am hearing isn't what I was expecting .. which, I guess based on the title, was a raging forest fire burning out of control .. but this is more of a slow consuming burn that snarls with an unremitting intensity.

Secondhand smoke issues interrupting sleep will do that to a person. Here in Brooklyn we have smokers who like to puff away outside two stories below our bedroom window .. and it's amazing how annoying that becomes when you want to sleep with a breeze coming through an open window.

Loud
or big?- sometimes you need to go big to express something powerful. Sounded great on my Yamaha MSP3s... I really liked the guitar and would have taken down the reversed stuff drifting to the R a tad, to not distract to much from that.. and perhaps lowered the shakers in the L a smidge too. The use of delay on the drums works really well in this too. Lush strings- kinda Japanese/Celtic vibe. Another high quality production Pari.

Yeah, I was going to say what richard13 said about "loud." I guess we all have our bars set at different heights. For example, you are concerned about the mix, which to me seems just fine, at least in headphones. Being familiar with your work, I know your production bar is set up in the stratosphere, while mine rests in the dirt. Sounds great, and much enjoyed.

Oh, my...
The rich sonorities you get from your guitar on this track are really exquisite. Pulls me in from the first notes. When the solo winds come in, though, I feel the focus gets awfully cloudy. At. around 2:25 it's even more pronounced to me. Yes, the sound is BIG, but not at all overpowering. It just seems to swirl so much that it's hard to find details...Ending is so abrupt. THAT took me by surprise. Personally, I wouldn't have minded hearing an almost endless loop of those magnificently-recorded guitars and bass and then a clear, single solo instrument breaking out in a cultured melody of some sort.

Cans
I auditioned many, many cans before I chose my Ultrasones. This sounds fine to me (actually more than fine) Love the distortion on the flute!!!! Clean, clean sound overall. Magical harmonic throw away too at 2:03. Doppler on the flute is neat and I have no problem hearing the string and voice pads through it. This intense layering is beginning to sound like someone I know..... :) Ending is perhaps a little abrupt but overall another fine piece of work my talented friend. Thanks for the D/L!

Wowie Zowie!
I love the way the guitar melds into the flute melody. I love the incredibly complex yet crystal clear mix (no mud anywhere!!!). I love the beauty that seems to come so effortlessly into your writing. I listened to this on my Samson Rubicon R6a near fields. It sounded just pristine and every part had its distinct place on the sound stage. Very well done!
