Description:
Upped this song a few days ago and got loads of good advice how to enhance it. Well I took Your advice and worked some on the drums, tried fatten the bass and organ, added a synth melody to the chorus, boosted the volume on the break, cut a verse and tightened some mixing.
I would REALLY be happy if You could comment on this remix.

Here's the old one:

Lyrics:
Nowhere too fast

You know the bus that we are riding,
a lonely ride where you pay what you earn
There aint no running away or hiding,
we’re on a one-way street, no return

Going through life looking out the window,
I can see you driving in style
I wish that i could be there right beside you,
just to ride with you for a mile

You’re in the wrong lane heading west
I’m going nowhere too fast

There’s no stop and there’s no arriving,
mile after mile and day after day
I can tell there’s no-one driving
and nobody else is going my way

You really thickened this up nicely. Sounds great. This
song has an awesome drive behind... cool vocals still and
expertly placed. I love this song! Downloaded!

Thanks!
I totally agree with most of the critisism i have gotten for the old version. I'm much more satisfied with this mix. There's a much better flow, even though I changed the drums. I took Your advice regarding drawing more attention to the chorus, I think it works much better now.
Thanks again for the input.

Thanks! I'm honoured. I took Your advice and tried thickening the drum beat to enhance the rhythm. I also "fatted" the keyboard to make it a bit more powerful, which led to having to power up the volume on the guitar. But in the end i think it turned out fine.
Thanks for Your advice!

I really like your singing on this. Your voice sounds great,; it reminds me of someone but I'm not sure who. You could tighten up your rythm in a few places but overall it has great drive. I didn't hear the previous version you posted but I like this one a lot.

Thanks a lot! Yes, I know exactly what You mean. Some of the beat are on clay feet, but I'm working on a new song now and will have to leave the fine tuning to the CD-version ;-)
Thanks again for Your input, it is much appreciated.

This is a very cool tune and a very cool concept. The best part is the organ groove breakdown that the tune moves into later. Love it!

It may be just my headphones but I think the bass could use some volume/kick to lift everything up further. You may also want to up the distortion guitar a bit to blend better with your core arpeggio.

But mate ... DAMN COOL TUNE.

Thanks! Well I'm having serious problems using headphones. Like I said in an earlier posting I'm having severe problems with the bass. I usually play at night and need to use headphones on account of the rest of the family sleeping. I have a pair of capped Sonys, which are great, but loses a lot of the bass, and i have another pair of Sennheisers, which has a great bass thump, and listening to it through speakers in the morning, sounds different in a third way. I think this is a tough nut to crack. How do You do it?

Thanks! I sometimes find it hard not to add too much to my songs. The more tracks and instruments, the harder to keep the balance, but at the same time you get a pregnant sound that could be rather pleasant. But the truth is that it's hard to keep it simple...
Thanks for your input, it's very much appreciated!

Nicely done &mdash 03/02/05 - 08:28:01 AM
The extra synths are a nice touch - gives it plenty of
variety, and it still meshes together well. Love the
pounding beat, as before. Well done!

Thanks again!
I was afraid that the synth would kill the vocals, but i find the chorus melody a tad weak, compared to the verse, so it really enhanced the power of the chorus instead. I kind of think it turned out OK...
Thanks for Your input!

I wanna do you some justice on the comment......

I will drop back in when I hear it the 20th time.

Still interesting after 10. Good sign.

That IS good grades. I'm very happy y'all took time to listen to the remodeled
version. I'm also glad you seem to like it. I can of course hear the mishaps in
the beat, the missed notes on the keyboard and the errors on the guitar. But
what the hell, I'm just a happy amateur, new at this game!
Thanks for your input, much, much appreciated.

Good overall structure to the song though I would like to
hear more of the vocals. Synth leads are good love the
glide bit!!!

Thanks! Well i have a feeling it's a bit over the top in the production, so too
many instruments might put a bit of a dampening on the vocals... I don't
know. Many thanks for your input, it's very much appreciated!
