Description:
This is my lullaby.

Lyrics:
Be soft child. Don't worry.
Be soft child. Don't speak.
Be soft child. Don't worry.
Just lay yourself down to sleep.

Oh the world will go on turning,
and the morning sun will rise.
Be soft child. Don't worry.
Hush now. Close your eyes.
In the morning you will rise up.
No need to fret or frown.
Be soft child. Don't worry.
Just lay your body down.

Mama's here. Don't you worry.
Mama's here. Don't you cry.
Mama's here. Don't you worry.
I'll sing a song to soothe your troubled mind.

(Guitar solo)

Be soft child. Don't worry.
Be soft child. Be serene.
Be soft child. Don't worry.
Just lose yourself in a dream.
Oh the world will go on turning,
and the morning sun will rise.
Be soft child. Don't worry.
Hush now. Close your eyes.

great piece &mdash 03/01/05 - 10:18:55 PM
The vocals and harmonies are excellent. Sweet melody and lyrics. Nice warm and clean recording. The guitar sound is great. The only thing that seems in need of adjusting is the levels, because the guitar is a little too loud over the vocals. Either the vocals need to come up a bit or the guitar down a bit. Other than that this is a sweet gem of a song.

wish I had written this one. . . . &mdash 03/01/05 - 11:18:59 PM
This is really nice. Someday I'll be able to play guitar like that. I agree on the levels. More vox and less guitar. Not so much that the guitar is too loud, but just more vocals, especially during the harmony section.

Very nice. I can picture a mom sitting with a baby on her knee while daddy sits beside with a guitar and they both sing together. That's family.

and the guitar is very nicely done. I look forward to
hearing more from you.

Lovely &mdash 03/02/05 - 06:01:17 AM
singing.
You have a lovely voice: great harmonies.
I agree that the guitar is a little too loud with your vocals,
but overall , this is a sweet song with a lovely melody.

Good debut &mdash 03/02/05 - 06:53:01 AM
Your vocals give this lullaby a jazz lilt, an earthy, sexy
quality. I agree that those wonderful vocals need to be
brought up in the mix. And while the guitar is excellent, in
some parts I feel like it is a little heavy for a lullaby (1st
time around during the chorus).

Lovely harmonies. This piece
swings.

Your voice and harmonies could soothe any beast.
Listening while having coffee , and enjoying every minute.

bluesy, jazzy, folksie, soothing &mdash 03/02/05 - 08:26:00 AM
What a nice bluesy, jazzy, folksie style. Sounds like something you'd play on a hot summer day on the porch, with the curtains blowing gentle in the background. Soothed me. Nice guitar playing too, really liked the edge of the hits, and the very nice ending phrase. Left me with a smile!

Very Nice &mdash 03/02/05 - 11:28:25 PM
I'm a sucker for lullabies. And harmonies. I'm not a sucker
for tons of reverb that sounds like it was recorded in the
back of a cave... but there are moments where it works
and I'm sure you're happy with the sound or you wouldn't
have used it. Very nice track. You've got a great voice. I'd
like to hear it in some different apps.

Softening &mdash 03/03/05 - 01:21:59 PM
Really nice feel. I agree with pgreenstone that the guitar
can get a tad too sharp or loud in spots, mainly for a
lullaby. but this is a great feel and I love the phrase, Be
soft. Very sweet.

Thanks &mdash 03/04/05 - 11:35:40 AM
Thanks for all of the positive feedback. I really appreciate it! I can't accept the compliments concerning the guitar work. That was all Ete's doing, as well as the mixing. He had noticed that the guitar was too loud, but we decided to post the song anyway, just to see what kind of feedback it would get. Again, thank you all for your positive remarks. It's really encouraging to me.

Fantastic &mdash 03/06/05 - 04:12:53 PM
I'm so glad I stumbled across this little gem. Your voice is gorgeous. I really hope to hear some more songs from you soon.

The guitar sounds great. Well played and recorded. The simple clarity of this is perfect.

Great song!
