Totally Edith (Wretched And Wrong)

Description
Someone said "she's totally evil, wretched and wrong", but I heard "Edith" instead of "evil" and decided Totally Edith needed a song. Been sitting on this one for a while, and the mix is a little rough, so any constructive comments in that regard will be truly appreciated. Mike and Alan did fantastic jobs lending a hand.

John Mietus - Vocals, Veronica (my 12-string acoustic) on rhythm guitar, Sheila (my Epiphone Casino) on slide lead, MIDI tabla
Alan Crouch - Bass
Mike Bender - Sitar

Lyrics
Totally Edith, wretched and wrong
Skittering sideways through veils of deception
She never reveals all the places she’s gone
Or who she’s corrupted today

Her terrible presence is felt all around
While she dances outside the edge of perception
Criminals elsewhere go deep underground
So they don’t get in her way (don’t get in her way)

I feel for all her victims
Every single one
But it doesn’t really matter
The damage is done
She’s totally Edith, wretched and wrong

The witnesses flee from the scene of the crime
Unwilling to share their side of the story
When pressed they will claim they weren’t there at the time
And say they don’t believe she’s real (she’s not even real)

Totally Edith, wretched and wrong
Now she’s revealed in all of her glory
Black leather corset, indelible thong
And steel-tipped stiletto heels (and torn fishnet stockings)

I pray for all her victims
Every single one
But it doesn’t really matter
She does it for fun
She’s totally Edith, wretched and wrong

How is it she can be
So cruel and so heartless?
What is the darkness that
Clawed out her soul?

They’ll search and they’ll seek but they never will find her
Wherever she’s gone she is perfectly hidden
The innocence lost is a constant reminder
For those taken in by her lies (don’t believe her lies)

I mourn all her victims
Every single one
But the game is all over
She’s already won
She’s totally Edith, wretched and wrong

I always enjoy your posts. Somehow you manage to make time stop. I'm back to my youth (until I look in the mirror). Your music is such a breath of fresh air.

Edith
Nicely written tune, complete with middle eight. Especially like the backing vocals.Bass can be deservedly called McCartney-esque. Enjoyed this.

Wasn't much into
Sitar when the Beatles thought it was so cool. Still not. I respect the difficulty and the work. I just don't much enjoy the sound.

Still this is extremely nicely done! You guys should tour man!

Evil woman
I like this one a lot! It put me in mind of Alix Tichelman, the woman accused to letting the Google exec die of an overdose.
