Description:
Song's about a couple out on the town, one wants to have a serious conversation and the other just wants to enjoy the day.
Lyrics:
Conversation that you want to havebut let's not have it now
Cause a conversation like you want to have
will only bring me down
After all...
It's a sunny day
with an evening haze
Look around at the
kids in the park
playing until dark
Conversation that you want to have
but let's not have it now
Cause a conversation like you want to have
will only bring me down
And you know that...
We're on holiday
I still got-ta say
that I know that
this bitter pill's
coming straight from Dr. Phil
There'll be some money spent
and e-mails sent
There'll be other plane rides
and power point slides
but when it's all said and done
we'll be back at square one
Conversation, Conversation
Conversation, Conversation
Conversation that you want to have
but let's not have it now
Cause a conversation like you want to have
will only bring me down

What did you change since the last time you posted it
here? It's already in my fav list. I'll have to go and see if I
can still find the previous version I heard.
Peter Greenstone
Yes, this is improved in the mastering. It has a much more well rounded
sound, full and warm. Great job! Now get it on the radio! :-)

I downloaded the song. You forgot to put your name on it
in the tags, so there is no artist associated with the mp3.
Got to put that info in there if you want credit for your
great music floating around the internet. In the meantime
I added the info to my copy.

Great lyrics, great voice and nice upbeat, positive vibe
thoughout. Not sure how I missed this the first time. Glad
you reposted this.

especially as this piece ends. Like the way your voice soars
as it repeats 'conversation' under the chorus.
Very nice work.

Excellent professional mix here. Great vocals, and I love
the upbeat guitar.
I also like the lyrics...

This is a great tune. I love the catchy intro and the "folk-
rock" sound throughout. Well done. I'm impressed and
looking forward to more!

To me this one of my favorite tunes on this site.
I really, really love this tune.
This tune is why I got into music in the first place.
Just can't say enough about this tune.
Your getting very high tunes from me. Very high.
This is commercial radio to me bigtime.
To me this is a HIT.

What a cool tune. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this - all the way through. You've got a great voice and a great sound.

Such a great retro folk-rock-pop sound, like Simon and
Garfunkel in their Red Rubber Ball days. Great feel,
performances, with really well balanced pop lyrics that
contain an extra punch for your use of modern images.
Great road music, man, you captured it so well. Radio
ready. Great track.

...Hootie and the Blowfish from the late '90s. Light, catchy,
fun music.
This is very well mixed and the vocals are sweet and clear.
You achieve a very cohesive "sound" with all the various
instruments. You alternate them well, particularly the way
the percussion comes in and out.
Very professional from beginning to end.
Whatever you are doing production-wise, don't change a thing. The quality is excellent. This song is great. Well done.

Surprised to find this while surfing the Folk page. It is a great
retro Pop hit. Back when Pop was good music.

Tobin has been bugging me to listen to this tune and I finally
did. THis would be great on the juke box in my bar. Very
professional, happy and top notch. I can se why he puts it on
so many lists he makes of great song on MJ. This is a great
pop tune. (Why isn't it under Pop?)

Thank, I appreciate your kind words. I'm not sure why I chose to put my songs outside of the pop genre. I can only guess that I didn't want to be in a category which might also have clones of Britney Spears. Anyway I'll take your advise & submit to Pop in the future... -Steve

I just wish the end part conversation, conversation had like mama and
papa style harmonies. is that greedy?
Joe Brady
And I found this awesome tune. Great writing and production.
