Description
Recorded this quite a while ago and thought I'd posted it here already. Decided to use Logic Pro X to remix it and try out the new Drummer feature... while they don't have any drummers who are clearly left handers playing a right handed kit like Ringo, I am still amazed by how naturalistic this MIDI drummer tool works and sounds, and by the degree of control you can achieve with it.

So, yeah. This is a song. I'm doing all the bits on this one, with Sheila on lead guitar chores, Betty on rhythm, and Steve on percussion. Bass and drums are MIDI. Fans of Beatle album cuts will recognize what this is a pastiche of.

Lyrics
Since we met we can't deny
This shared infatuation
Regardless of how hard I try
I'm still intrigued by you

I might retreat today
But hold out for tomorrow
With no more games to play
And all's said and done
Could you be the one?

Gazing in each other's eyes
Deep in conversation
That's when we both realize
This could be something new

I think we both agree
We've got no time for sorrow
But I can clearly see
When all's said and done
You could be the one

Could you be the one I'm looking for?

Look into my eyes and find
A source of inspiration
'Cause when you leave the past behind
You'll find I'm good for you

Don't offer up your heart
To beg for, steal, or borrow
Enjoy this brand new start
When all's said and done
Could I be the one?

Could I be the one you're looking for?

Don't offer up your heart
To beg for, steal, or borrow
Enjoy this brand new start
When all's said and done
I could be the one

I could be the one you're looking for

I love that jangly pre-Pepper post-Hard Days Night Period. Great nods to Beatles for Sale and Rubber Soul. Cool little tune all on its own. The Beatleisms just help raise the smile a bit higher.

The electric piano
was a nice touch.

An effective pastiche, very well done :-)

Fine, stylistic post. The early 60's guitar work is spot on. A bit of Ringo in the vocals, too. Enjoyed. Regards, Peter.
