Soup 2
I loved Soup 1, and now I love Soup 2! You're doing some cool stuff here Dave - great to see you back. "Man of many genres" (that's you!)

Shades of Genesis. Really dug the bass. Was Chris Squire sitting in?

prog in my Soup 2
This piece is just filled with unexpected turns, all done with that 70's progressive rock flavor, and done very well, may I add. Enjoyed this, my friend - good job!

Classic sound!!
Big, bombastic, and full of interesting twists and turns. You've really captured the style, plus made it your own. Outstanding work!!

More food!!!
Ok I already stuffed my mouth with potatoes on another tune... Now I have to eat soup too? Really!? I'm seriously trying to lose weight. All these food songs make me serious hungry.

But I will say soup with a baby frog is not my cup of soup (tea, coffee) No not me. So I think I'll let Shielad eat this bowl just before her up coming trip to Texas and she can report on it from there.

Now on the music, all food aside. You've done your usual epic treatment of this. I just need to clean the soup off my computer screen to find the download button and life will be complete!

Nicely done!

that bass
is pure Chris Squire! I used to love Yes and this took me back to days of listening to Close to the Edge on the headphones under the bed covers. Very nice work.

A dynamic and fascinating piece.
I like the way this changes, using a lot of changes in volume and pace. Flows nicely from start to finish but still manages to throw a few surprises at the listener.

Soup 2
Nice capture of the traditional prog sound. Big and (as Llarion says) bombastic. A bass virtuoso on board, too! Sorta waiting for Jon Anderson to show up.

Man of Soup
I like the surprise around 2.40. The whole thing has a "beginning of the show" vibe to it. Looking forward to the rest of the show!

Bass...
Didn't think it could be richer than it was at the beginning, but you juice it up around :55 and it remains a central element in this track for the rest of the way. You seem to have three chords going on here for each section (with an inversion). I wonder if you might find melodic material naturally "happening" if you broke away from the set mold and explored some new territory. I like the epic sound. Just wish it would "go" further in exploring melodic ideas.
