Description
my wife and i just heard a good friend of ours has suddenly died. it's a shock.

strangely, i was just finishing a little experimental song (something i rarely do lately)

trying out the Neapolitan chord (in C, FAbDb)

threw in a Picardy third too...

In a moment…
…that had the 'Elfman' feel… Ah, 'the happiest chord'… Picardy cadence. This sequence rips me apart… I guess that's why composers of film scores use it so much! EXCELLENT, evocative, goose-bumpity! Thanks for the sample… now take me away!

I second what Alimar says. I only wish there was more! I guess you'd have to change the name, then.

Touching
...it's like an unexpected change of breeze on a street that takes you to a very different place you remembered long ago, but so real and vivid that you stop what you're doing and just stand, transfixed for one heartbeat... two heartbeats... and the breeze changes again. And it's gone, now just a memory itself.

So much here, and such a brief moment to carry it. What sad, breathtaking and fragile magic this is.

Brief, but beautiful ...
... and in the context of the forum-thread for which it was written (the sudden death of a friend), poignant.

Short and lovely
I briefly enjoyed it, I wish there only more to enjoy of it. I was ready to be consumed by the lovely chord structure but it briefly ended and I was left wanting more. More please...

Where this could go....!!!
You HAVE to develop this. What a gorgeous start to something much larger. All I can really say is that I want to hear the whole thing once you have it done, Bill. The sudden morph into the tonic can be used over and over as you expand this, and I am sure it will always have a most-satisfying effect on the listener. Beautiful music.
