This is thick, gritty rawhide that nicely chafes my writhing
body. Dance, people! Normally I'd yell, "clipping!" But this
is for those who like it loud and grungy. Worthy of
consideration in a world of moderation.

I like this song a lot for the creative direction it takes. It has a clear identity. At the same time that identity makes it hard to be critical because it embraces a sort of deconstruction. Like Schletty mentions above, the clipping was driving me nuts! I don't know if that was achieved with a bitcrusher effect or by blowing the output levels in Garageband. I also get that it is intentional and should stay in the song!

I don't think the normal rules apply here, like consistency of vocal levels. I think you really created something that uses overt production characteristics as a medium for the song concept. I like that!

The solo is fantastic in the way it echoes the character of the song. I thought it was maybe a little loud in the mix (despite my earlier comment about the usual rules not applying!). For whatever reason this song reminds me of returning to college after Summer break. Off-campus barbeque and bonfire tonight!

Cool!

I'm glad you understand the approach. I wanted something that was "Balls to the wall" y'know heavy but great to dance to. I think some of the dance music these days has got thump but no heart (pun).

Listening to it again, I think I will turn the solo down, slightly. thanks for the input!
