Description:
Just when I thought my last song would get the speed out of my system...

This isn't really a TENSE track as I created it, myself, but it's definitely in the same vein of what the TENSE flavor is... perhaps, it's semi-TENSE, heh. Basically, an experiment in how fast and loud I can get.

Lyrics:
What would make you think you've got the message we should hear,
How you get the thought that you're impressive isn't clear.

Could you find the controversy that you want to sell,
Going straight to heaven, but you want to go to hell.

Preaching to the fans how much you hate your Mom and Dad,
Throw yourself a temper tantrum like a little brat.

Vigorous and tenuous with everything you preach
Try to be a rebel but it's always out of reach.

Pierce your face and values with your bitching running wild,
Feeling so left out because you're still a fuckin' child.

Flashy little parody the system won't erase.
I don't think you realize how much oxygen you waste.

Still, you point your finger and you aim below the belt.
Point that finger inward and you'll find out something else.

Tell the world to shut up, hating everyone who's right,
Maybe you should turn around and take your own advice

Reaching down the barrel to the bottom of the stash.
One seditious icon for the upper middle class.

Horde of adolescent groupies lining at your door.
Saturate the airwaves with your white suburban bore.

How can you get aggravated when you cannot feel,
No one understands a man whose message isn't real.

It could take a decade just to flush you all away,
Saturate the media as long someone pays.

You minimize your integrity,
Unqualified for disclosure,
You drain your feeble epiphany,
Repeating over and over,

You rile 'round in futility,
I cannot take the exposure,
You got a taste for inanity,
I'll shut you down 'cos I want to get closure.

Excellent &mdash 03/12/05 - 03:43:17 PM
and extremely well thought out lyrics.
An impressively fast and furious pace with good vocal
delivery.
Great production and arrangement. I like the use of the
synths that sweep in and out , they add to the intensity of
the track..
Nice clean ending!

I'll certainly be in the queue for tickets to your live gigs...

a cliff. Wow- great tune. No one does this stuff better here
that I've heard. Great vocs, guitar.. mix in general. Keep it

Whoa! &mdash 03/12/05 - 04:44:00 PM

Speed of light. Blast crunching. Into the wall at 100mph.

Man, you can really do this thing. Not my normal fare, but
you definitely get high marks. I can't find anything to
even nit pick, 8-8-8-8

Superb &mdash 03/12/05 - 05:51:12 PM
Wow, that vocal tratment is perfection. The super fast
kick snare bit drove me up that wall, but that's personal
taste. This song is superbly done, the lyrics are great and
production is top notch. Loved that orc-hit crash combo
near the end.

This rocks proper! Great lyrics and delivery. You got the
speed. You got the power. You got the touch!

WHOOOOOAH &mdash 03/12/05 - 09:19:49 PM
"Like omi gawd, she always looks like her eyes are shut.
People always ask me what it's like to be goth, like omi
gawd" -a movie theatre annoyance. This song makes me
want to find her and kick her little EMO band-loving ass.
It's fast, furious, and makes me want to "whoooooah!".
haha!

This was loud and very fast. You sounded angry. Somebody seems to be in trouble. I think I'll leave now. Here are some 8's and 9's.

Ahh, Polka! &mdash 03/13/05 - 09:43:01 AM
;-)
Thanks for the pre-listen on this.
But, please tell us all how you really feel :-)
One thing about a furiously fast tempo is it allows for
squeezing about 2 or three songs worth of content into
one tune - kind of an "idea concentrate".

Sorry about the polka jokes, but that drum pattern sounds
just about like a straight on polka - of course at this
speed there's not much else you have time for - telephone
poles approaching blur...

Pounding.
You gonna do a love song next? ;)

I don't know whether you like or hate KMFDM comparisons, but since I like them, to me, it's a compliment. Excellent effin' tune.

Bang! &mdash 03/14/05 - 01:24:18 AM
Heh! I didn't know my speakers could go to eleven! As comparisons go, this actually reminds me of Metallica when they strip away all their pretentious gimmicks and just drive straight for the thrash jugular (i.e., Whiplash and Battery). Great lyrics and delivery! Makes me want to over-caffinate myself, break out the Ibanez, and pound until someone calls the cops!

Ouch &mdash 03/14/05 - 04:45:36 PM
My head is pounding now after that. I had the speakers
too loud, but was unable to turn it down. The obscenely
heavy, driving drum track reminds me of one of the faster
Angra songs. GREAT work on the vocals, and same goes
for the lyrics. All around, an excellent production.

Bring it on!!! &mdash 03/15/05 - 06:26:43 AM
wow, this is something! this made me sit up and
listen, I was having a bad day until I found this. The
lyrics are great too. I needed something angry to
listen too, Thanks for providing it! 8-8-8-8

Happy Happy Joy Joy &mdash 03/15/05 - 10:17:54 AM
Yeah, that snare just beats the listener into submission.
It's just too relentless and repetitive for my taste. Strip
this down and there's really not much of a song here.

It might be a little on the antiseptic side. It's maybe TOO
slick too processed. As an exercise in production though,
it's a lot of fun. Lotsa interesting ideas in here. As I said
when I heard a rough, I love the high synth pad on the
chorus. I wish you had featured that even more.

You have a lock on the genre.

Now go and be more melodic!

Powerful... &mdash 03/15/05 - 11:37:04 AM
driving tune. I can imagine listening to this in the twisties
on my SV650S. Slowing down only for the straight
sections. Radar hoppin'. Cool crunch. Thx.

good hate songs out there. Go on. Tell us who you had in

Gulp.. &mdash 05/08/05 - 06:04:25 AM
Missed this one. Thought it was just too much initially, and almost sounded a bit of a mess but, as usual, you completely nailed it.

Sucks you in the with those choral swells and ends up sounding like a firefight in downtown Baghdad.

Dangerous.
