Some awesome guitar
I really like the electric acoustic sound you're getting. The guitar parts are fantastic and they blend nicely with the percussion. A fine listen this morning. I'm impressed.

Thanks.
As Dava said, some of the acoustic needs tidying - normally the Ovation sounds fine without tweaks, so maybe the preamp did something. I had all hell to upload it, so I'm just glad it's on MJ at last.

Nice!
Been to see it [good] this is a nice tribute. Though why electro-folk should be, I don't quite know! Nice music anyway, great playing. Sounds a little 'mushy' [I don't know the technical term] near the start, but it clears up. One of the guitar tracks [left side] is getting a little lost in the mix I think, but it all adds to a really nice live feel. Good music sir.

Cheers, Dava.
I noticed that at the start. It's just the Ovation plugged in direct. I don't know why it sounds like that. Maybe David (Rocking sock Puppet drummer) can clean it up, or maybe I'll redo it minus the ART pre amp. Anyway, it's a jolly little tune that really doesn't suggest Captain America at all, but I kept the working title because it has a marching beat.

A sort of cross
between Trumpton and Fairport.

Not seen the film but I think the music stands by itself anyway.

Lovely guitar work.

Cheers

Trumpton!
I always thought the list of firemen's names was a precursor to rap, but I have no empirical evidence to suggest that Afrika Bambaataa ever saw Trumpton. It would be super - cool if he did. Anyway this tune is fun to play. I have another nice one honouring Gladys Aylward, but it's harder to play and I need some Chinese violin on it. (Hard to find in the Bahamas.) Thanks for listening, Dick.

i can
hear what davaJ meant, but i'm not so sure it's the preamp as much as a small bit of eq'ing. somethings needs to drop from the mid lows.
as for the song, top quality as usual. really starting to respect your guitar playing more and more every song.

I changed the strings
to a fatter set. I re EQd on the latest one, and generally mucked about with it, and it's a bit better. Ultimately (ie tomorrow) I'm going back to the thinner strings for the Ovation. This is why MJ rules - you get informed feedback, not just the other stuff.

That Acoustic Guitar, now Elec's like how you changed
that up and Mixed them, blending nicely with just a
touch of different dynamics so they maintained their
identity but kinship remained...Well done

When I actually studied how to play the guitar, it was all English folk music (Martin Carthy, Nic Jones) but you don't hear it much in my prog/rock music. I have another pretty acoustic tune brewing, so watch this space.

El Capitan
A very happy tune, but with tasteful intricacies. Quite delicious. Only you (as far as I know) would restrain this and keep it from taking off into a big power-chord dueling guitar fest. It's begging for it. I can imagine a vocal track, as well. But the absence of those obvious elements is consistent with your outside-the-box-guy nature. Always doing your own GE thing, and we appreciate that.

Plucks banjo, looks weird
I may well do some sort of vocalised version, but I usually steer clear of guitar histrionics in favour of the narrative of the song. However, if I ever get an eight - string (those Ibanezes are looking mighty tempting) watch out world - it's weedle - dee time! Thanks for your kind remarks, Les.

During this I retired the SX electric in favour of an old Squier I found in the wardrobe (really). It has no whammy bar but stays in tune better and has a better action, so, er. Anyway, they're both on here, along with the faithful Ovation.

It's fun coming up with variations then figuring out the best way to play them. For the acoustic bits, I took a leaf out of Joseph Spence's book (I've been teaching the kids all about him) and used only two fingers of my left hand most of the time.

Garsh
That anything I do comes out as a thing always astonishes me. I did this one without the aid of David or Sam, which proves something. But that "Angel" collab that we did showed me what the power of three brains can do. I can PM you the much - improved version of this if you like, as I know you're a keen supporter. Meanwhile, thank you for your continued interest. It means a lot.

Very intricate. The drums could come up a notch, the guitars obviously drive the song, but there is something missing in the rhythm section to anchor all the complexity. The Ovation sound is so distinctive, DI-ing it was the way to go. Thanks grah3am!

Cool rhythm...
...and slick guitar work playing out a little mantra-like tune. I don't know about the mushy sound. To my ears, it sounds like what you probably intended...and it works for me. At 2:03 those twangy thangs are really nice as they play out the theme once again. They seem just a tad out of tune, and that also works very good for my ears. Cool track.
