Cool track..
Love it's flow, it's truth cause one day we will all know
the kiss...You hit the nail on the Head...
I really like what the drums are playing, I find the reverb
a little pushy...
With this kind of track " If you can hear 50% more reverb
than drums back off 25% it will give the more distinction and you'll have better control level wise..
Placement gives support to the foundation...

Solid piece of work my Friend

Kiss of Death
Interesting effect on the vocal - works well for these lyrics. I like the bouncy bass and the flashing keys. You're getting some great sounds with your recent experiments, Stan!

nice wide
stereo field i'm hearing in this one. has an outdoorsy feel. loved that unexpected break down @2:50. there's something i really like about this song, but it's no one thing i can pinpoint. maybe because it's such a different melody from what i'm used to hearing from you, or maybe even the production. but like is like, who cares about specificity?

Oh yeah.....
Mellow meanderings on a Saturday evening. The vocals... Is there an effect or just your talent. Cool, indeed.

Very nice track!
This is a very nice, creative piece.   I very much like a lot of the things that you have done with it.   The relative balance and EQ of the various tracks does sit somewhat-oddly in my laptop’s speakers, with (for example) the drums overpowering the piano.

Now, I am certainly no “mixer,” but I do notice that the track opens with a general background hum.   The initial entry of the drums fairly-overpowers the other parts.   And, throughout the track, it’s kind of hard to figure out what part ought to be (or, is intended to be) “front-and-center.”   As I am re-listening to it right now in the pots, around 2:00 or so when everything really gets going ... well, everything is happening at once, and everything is happening in the mid-range frequencies.   Even the things that ought to be taking a supporting vs. a lead role.

In other words, I think that this is a really great song that now needs some remixing.   Riding the faders so that certain players clearly step forward while the others step back; cleaning up some of the frequency conflicts; getting rid of any hum, subsonics etc.

Thanks
Thanks
I really appreciate your honest criticism re: the mix and many points well taken. That's the problem with mixing on headphones.... Thanks for this.
Cheers

Kiss of Death
Really interesting song, Stan. It has an understated funk vibe and I like the creative vocal effect. The piano sounds really good. Agree with Tony re the drums possibly having too much 'verb and push. Not sure the constant static style background fill works at the level you have it either. Just seems to mask a bit too much to me. Keep 'em coming. Thanks, Peter.

Free-Form Invention
*Other* it is, Stan... and a very nice kind of Other, free and interesting. The various elements, FX and techniques work together well. The mix? There's no end to the possibilities of a mix, but the structure and your concept are right there. Nice work. ;)
