gruel while there isn't anything wrong with simplicity, i think perhaps this could use a lyric toke- that's eccentrik speak for- i think you could use a little word work. 'toys were the dealio' and such just sounds dated and unimagintive. i'm not tryin to slam ya, kat- more like lighting a fire under your ass. cut out a couple of lines for your inner poet, and see what he can spout in a little frenzy. there's potential..... Honest, clear, powerful Excellent. Love the honesty, the clear memories, the power of the images. A couple of times it sounds like you cut in on yourself, as if it is more than one take (no space for breaths). Love the flute driftings. The concept is so sweet and melancholy, and I like the dated language (stays within the concept), but a backing musical hook would be really cool, maybe even sung by young voices, just 2 or three times. Nice Feel Good Groove That beat is crazy! (In a good way) I love the subject matter, it's quite refreshing, mos def one of the best yet. The lyrics match the music, but I think you could ride the beat alot better. What your saying has substance, it's just sometimes it sounds like you're trying to catch up with beat and stretch words and stuff. Nonetheless it's hot though. Keep up the good work!
