Description
If you're familiar with the track 'Mother' (also on MacJams.com) you'll recognise this track. Actually it's just an earlier legacy mix of the aforementioned track 'Mother'. A couple of things to note a) there are no horns in this version, b) the guitars are mixed louder and slightly heavier, c) the mix is a bit more wet, d) the whole thing comes across a bit rockier (keep an ear out for the little guitar bit at the end in place of the horns in the original) e) this was just a temporary mix.
I posted this on MacJams just as a curio and to fill a gap whilst I work on new material. If it goes down well I might post some more legacy material. If you liked 'Mother' then here's another spin on the tune - if you don't like 'Mother' I'd try something else. Be cool :-)

Lyrics
yeah - i know my mum is very special - that's what the people say, but no-one's seen the old bird in quite a while now, nah - not since she was put away. the men in white came one day, she had froth upon her face. she kicked, she spat and hissed at them - as they dragged her from this place. [this is a fucked up world] yeah yeah - i know people say i'm like my mum - in loads of ways. yeah - i steal, i swear and i've got curly hair and i'll turn tricks coz it pays! next week the parole board meets to decide my mother's fate [yeah yeah yeah] and if all goes well she leaves her cell and bernard - her lesbian lover [this is a fucked up world] and i could blame her for all my faults [she's a mental], but that is something i refuse [she's a mental], coz there's no fate but what we make* [she's a mental] and life is something we must choose [yeah].

Even being familiar with the "other" version of this great
tune it's nice to hear a more raw version. God I love this
song. Anyway, thanks for giving me something to bridge
the gap between your rockin' songs! Rock on!
