Description
An unfinished (but close) track from my forthcoming album "Mythconception." A fairly "heavy" song, with more guitar and more "attitude" than is on the rest of the album. Crunchy, rhythmic and dark.

Lyrics

In brightly lit streets full of crackling drone
One flesh among the robots, Krist walked alone
Among solemn and knowing minds of hardened steel
Among people of clear logic, an inferior who could feel

Forbidden books of nonsense which had long been proven false
Alone in the feeling that there was something else
Beyond the cold hard facts, beyond the world of mind
Tales no longer told, truths we'd left behind

"They would crucify me if they knew the things I feel."
So he kept the knowledge buried, to the Knowers he would kneel
Playing the required role, he wore a face of steel
Knew better than to speak of gods, or demonstrate that he could feel

In brightly lit streets full of crackling drone
One flesh among the robots,
Krist walked alone.

Welcome to MacJams
You have some real good stuff happening here- guitars,
bass, synth all sound great. The vocal was muddy and
almost impossible to hear- seemed to get lost in the mix.
Very cool song, however- I look forward to hearing more
of your music. Like the song art, too!

When you said this was heavy…
you weren't kidding. This is both heavier and
proggier than the other track and for me overall more
satisfying too. I love its crunchiness and the lyrics are
quite interesting (not sure how they relate to the
lyrics from the other track – this could be an
interesting story you're telling on this album).
However, I have to agree with aclarke about the
muddy nature of the vocals – they really are
indecipherable given the nature of the mix. Plus the
synth sounds are a bit too obviously synthy. This is
good stuff and I'm intrigued to hear more but it
needs some work, methinks.

a great 7/8 track
Nice to hear something out of the 4/4 scene. I very much
like the heavy guitar rifs. But what a pity this beatiful lyrics
aren't put more in evidence. Anyhow, I enjoyed this track a
lot.

Totally cool groove
Totally cool groove. Really nice guitar hits and good
variations in layering, like a heartbeat that won't stop
coming at you. If you are still working on this,
consider that your low vocals and the effects you've
chosen muddy up that frequency; if you can sing a portion
of your lyrics up an octave, it would have an intensifying
result. (Actually, I hear a classic high prog rock screamer
singing over this whole thing.) Also, the snare seems sort
of thin in comparison to the guitar/bass work; consider a
more heavy metal set. Very cool energy, power, drive and
groove. Wonderful use of that mellotron chorus. I dig the
artwork too.

lots of cool ideas here. I agree with everything Tobin said.
I'm glad he got here first so I don't have to type as much
now. I'm also hearing this one a tad slower.
