Description:
After reading comments and thinking about it, I decided to go back and totally rework Retro from top to bottom. I sped it up quite a bit, cleaned it up (some), but still left it a little rough. I also think I did a better job of balancing.

Lyrics:
Alpha waves are being beamed from outer space
Don’t you fret, Doctor Who is on the case

He and Mr. Spock have had a row
What will Captain Britain do now?

Look at Godzilla run down Tokoyo
Will Flash Gordon make Godzilla go?

Buck Rogers will have to save the day
But, in the end, the Martians got away

Go on and set the Wayback
Retro--------
To a time that came before
Retro-------
It’s 79, every thing’s fine
ooooeeeooooo oooo

Here comes the tin man looking for a heart
But Michael Myers cuts him all apart

Will Ben Kenobi be able to save the day
Or will he use the Force as he runs away

Nasa tries to tell us everything is fine
Just like the moonbase in Space 1999

Retro--------
Get ready for the transport
Retro--------
Step into the beam
Retro-------
Follow Plan 9 and every thing’s fine
ooooeeeooooo oooo

ooooeeeooooo oooo
ooooeeeooooo oooo
ooooeeeooooo oooo
ooooeeeooooo oooo

Poor Barbarella has gone right insane
Gamma rays begin to fry your brian

Use you raygun to try and raise the dead
To meet the zombies that live inside your head

Retro--------
Go on and set the Wayback
Retro--------
To a time that’s never been
Retro-------
It’s 79, every thing’s fine
ooooeeeooooo oooo

You know... &mdash 03/23/05 - 12:26:23 PM
I haven't heard the original post of this song, but I think it's cool you made updates based on comments. I enjoyed this one quite a bit...good references. Silly, but fun. You've got a few timing issues (not that I can talk in that arena) but you've got a good voice (love the little harmony bits) and a fresh writing style. Enjoyed! (and I love the raygun-type ending.)

Lotsa fun &mdash 03/28/05 - 01:51:33 PM
Blamms right, there are a lot of mis-timed stuff. You're
late a lot.

If this is a MIDI construct, these things are a relatively
easy fix.

I love the lyric and and guitar sound. It has a Be Bop
Deluxe vibe that I'm enjoying.

There's a really cool piano(?) sound in this I like too, but
it's kinda lost in the mix. Bring it up more. Accentuate
the weird and interesting in your songs.

… this does have a kind of Be Bop Deluxe feel to it. I might not
have spotted that had he not mentioned it. Were they an
influence? Kinda sleezy, kinda proggy, but fundamentally a good
song. I love the lyrics and the sound effects… reminds me of my
youth! I guess the production/performance could do with a lick of
paint, though the timing issues didn't bother me as much they did
others. Nice one!

I'm not at all familiar with Be Bop Delux. Probably the closest influence would be some old Adam and the Ants, and my obsession with both good and bad science fiction. It could use a pretty major overhaul performance and production wise, maybe, one day...

Thanks for your comments E.G. I appreciate you taking the time to listen.
