Description:
This is a crack at adding guitars and male vocals to Daphna's song "No Mistakes" which was written for a male voice, but demoed by Daphna herself. I finally took her up on giving it a try as a way to get myself up off my (creative) rear end and get something done.

and WOW this is interseting, both tracks r all the same song but soud totally different.
original sounds like funny 80s pop song and this sounds nice "punk" rock.

Nice punk sound. I would have liked a little less midrange
in the guitar, and some overall EQ work. Other than that

I'd try and get them down into that song more. However,
you've put quite a presence into a wonderfully penned
track by Daphna. You add personality and emotion to the

I dig this. Really like the chorus especially, and the
changes in tempo. I'd have prefered more clarity in
production, mainly becuz I really like your vocals on this.
The flange on the left guitar detracts (for me); as
compared to the clarity of the organ and precision of the
distortion guitar (on the right, in my headphones). I really
like the vocodor Daphne backing vocals, could use more.

I've been out of town for a couple days (and a bit busy
before that) Thanks for all the comments. I just re-
listened in my larger monitors (which I'd just realized I'd
neglected to do) and I think I definitely need to look at the
mix again.
LOL - All this for a project I wanted to use to "warm up"
after being away for a while :-)
At least I didn't subject y'all to the "too many Bryan's"

Nice job on covering Daphna's catchy tune.
The feedback I have is that the chorus is too repetitive for a set of lyrics that are so wonderfully inventive. Even though it's a great line, hearing "There's no mistakes in life just lessons to be learned" repeated 16 times is overkill. I'm thinking the third line in each chorus could be different (something like "you play with fire and it's certain you'll get burned") to give a break from hearing the same line four times in a row. That said - let me repeat that it's well written, catchy, and well-performed here. [ Reply to This ]
