Description
A post nuclear war world. A robot quietly works away at a zen garden, making patterns and putting things into order.
I partly put this up to try to stop myself from fiddling with it and re-mixing it.

now and then
The description came later..about 3/4's of the way through completion. I just had a vision of it after I'd put the sort of R2-D2 noises in. I just start these things and they grow legs and become whole. Thanks for dropping in and glad you liked it

Robot in a Zen Garden
You said: " I just start these things and they grow legs and become whole." This one sure did. Sound that keeps me listening and involved. You can remix and fiddle indefinitely, I guess, but this does it well for me!

remix
It was more the production of it that I had to keep tweaking rather than the construction. I mixed it in GB and it was fine but I usually drag it into Audacity to boost the volume a touch and it was then that I noticed a whole load of problems. mainly the drum loop being too loud and the bass was too loud therefore drowning out the subtleties. I'm having to have a long hard think about how I approach mixing my songs. Anyway, glad you liked it and thanks for dropping in

Zen garden
This got inside my head as I was listening to it. The steady beat and the varied sounds grew on me.

Earworm Alert!

For whatever reason, I'm thinking this track would make for a very nice introductory background track for the reboot of Twin Peaks. ;)

twin peaks
david Lynch has great taste for music for his films so I'll take that as a compliment..though I don't know if my piece is 'dark' enough. But thanks for the comment and dropping in

Compliment

My reaction was definitely meant as a compliment. I don't hear the original Twin Peaks theme as being dark, but rather, pensive... and moody. Which is how I hear this tune. ;)

hello matey!!
Nice slidey feel to this! That bass is deep too. Really nice. I had a good groove to that. I've been out of macjams circulation for too long. Maybe this will give me a kick up the harris.

Zen garden
Liking the solidity and space of the mix from the outset. Definitely captured that robotic vibe. Had me thinking about factory lines - but they were making something aesthetically pleasing. Enjoyed. Thanks.
