Description
“A Little Romance” is No. 175 from my piano collection “By The Numbers.” There is no story here, just a quasi-lush feeling as the piece unfolds. It sounds more difficult to play than it is, so if you’re game and want to try it out, here’s where you’ll find it online:
http//www/...

I hope you’ll enjoy giving this short (3:28) number a listen.

A Little Romance
A gentle romance with just a touch of melancholic reflection? Lovely, delicate playing, as always, Paul. Rewarding listening. Thanks.

Chilled
and a lovely piece to listen to before heading off to work. The more old familiar names I click onto the more I realise what I have missed here at MJ

A Little Romance
Very pretty tune, Paul. Your usual dexterity is on display. I like the way you use strings in this, too. Delightful!

drums?
A very strange take on House Music this. No bass, no thumping drum beat or syncopated hi hat. Barely a hint of a hands in the air chorus or mid song drop. I was mystified until I realised it was a beautifully understated piano piece full of longing and space.

Just so
beautiful and easy on the ear Paul......your playing comes across as if the piano is just another extension of yourself....like another limb......although I know there must have been years of practice etc. to get it to sound so easy and fluid, regards M

More Than a Little

Compressed in the timeframe of this Little Romance is a wide range of musical expressions that represent the variety of emotions that accompany a romantic experience, ranging from hesitation to confusion, and ultimately to elation. A very sweet Little Romance, indeed, Paul. ;)

The understated
string accompaniment tenderly frames another gorgeous melodic masterwork from you Paul. Could listen to this for hours.

'Unfolding' is a good word...
...for how this piece progresses...

There is a sense of the 'refreshing inevitable' to this, a sense of tumbling downhill the way a stream pours over rocks...there's motion, there's life and liveliness, there's sweetness and there's a sense that it's all moving in just the way it's supposed to move....
