I know it has been many years since I’ve posted any of my songs. I have been besieged by medical problems that have taken away my ability to hear or sing, but I am still kicking, albeit a lot slower.

Here is another song I resurrected from a reel-to-reel tape I recorded back in the mid 70’s. It’s a tribute to my wife Catherine when we had been married for only 10 years when I wrote it. Sadly, I lost her to disease 12 years ago after a 38 year marriage, but the lyrics still remain true today.

Hopefully, some of my MacJams family can relate and can also honor their spouses.

So sad...
...to hear about your own medical issues, Rick. But it is heartening to hear a song that you wrote for your love so many years ago...and to know that those feelings continue even 'til today, years after her passing. Wishing you peacefulness. Thank you for sharing this beautiful song.

I am a widower living in Lynchburg, Virginia with my dog Blackie and cat Tiger. Forty years ago I played guitar and wrote ballads for my family, but the pressures of raising a family and working for a living left little time for that, so I stopped. ... [see more]
