Description
Been distracted but I found time for this brisk sea-faring voyage.
Hope you enjoy it.

I apologies for the sound quality of this. I rushed and I fear it shows.
When I find time I’ll improve this work in progress and post it on my site.
Still thanks for the listen all.

Wind in the sails
Thanks for the voyage, sounds great :-)

May I ask how many tracks you use for a piece like this? Just curious...

Take care,
Henke

I used just 6 tracks -
mainly Strings. Brass and Timpani, through one string string track had subtle shadings of some brass as well.
Glad you enjoyed Henke,
Cheers,
Charlie

Hi Blaky,
Didn’t have seat belts in those days. Must have been rough but invigorating which is what I tried to make this.
Thanks my friend from across the sea,
Charlie

THE WIND AT OUR BACK
You know I am a lover of sea-faring songs and this is a wonderfull voyage, Charlie. Plenty of drama and atmosphere. Makes me think of full sails and a running sea. Thanks!

Epic music soundscape...
This kind of stuff always amazes me. Wonderful orchestration to match that cool sailing ship!

Epic!
Great work Charlie. The wind is in the rigging and the canvas is full: we are bound for adventure but getting there is half the fun. Very evocative.

Yarrrrrrr!
Love the use of low tutti brass to add that gravitas to the piece. A sense of rolling, adventure and salt spray. This may have been rushed in your mind but I find the ideas gel nicely and communicate your maritime theme really well. One of your better posts I'd say in fact. And as always, I appreciate the download my friend!

I appreciate
the kind words Doug and I’m pretty pleased with much of this but I think parts more attention and the sound can be opened up.
Thanks my friend,
Charlie

When you think...
...you've heard 'em all, along comes Charlie Bowman with a tall tale spelled out in wonderful horns and timpani. This really captures the flavor of the high seas in such a dramatic way. I can almost see the rust on the anchor chains piled up on deck. Maybe your best overall concept and execution yet. You need to make no apologies. What a pleasure to hear this beautiful work. I hear they're doing another "Pirates." Jack Sparrow should be so lucky to have this as his theme music!!! Savvy?
Bravo.
