Description
It has been a while (26 April to be exact) since I wrote anything for the piano. This is, then, No. 183 in my "By The Numbers" series of piano solos. ... I had not intended to write anything on 1 January 2017, but in the evening this little piece arrived and I wrote it down. In looking for song art (above), I ran across the following short quotation: "We sometimes think we want to disappear, but all we really want is to be found." Perhaps that, the art, and this music will find a place to resonate in you, too. (The piano score can be found here:

Lovely- and sad
2016 was kind of a rough year for me. First my husband's father passed away, then my mother died this summer. Our own kids are making life decisions, and the political/governance scene gets more crazy by the day. Yes,'uncertainty' does indeed resonate. I printed the sheet music. Thank you.

This tugs at my heart.
A gentle, quiet plea for kindness and as you say “to be found”.
A wonderful piece for reflection Paul beautifully played.

Lovely quote. Lovely piece. Sad and wistful, yet there is hope of redemption, too. Thank you, Paul.

Lovely!
I think this is one of your better ones. There is a definite thematic unity that ties the whole thing together. It also helps that you're mostly phrasing in 4 measure increments, which is appropriate for a simple melody like this.
