Description
Continuing my one-man assault on the genre, here's Organ Invention No. 64. It is quite short. I hope you will enjoy listening. If you are interested in seeing, playing, or sharing the score, it can be found here: http//www.paulp/...

Invention 64
Lovely. I especially liked the section at around the minute mark where things intertwine. Always a pleasure to listen to your work, Paul.

Has an air of confidence.
Something assertive about the melody in this, as if it is declaring itself ready for something. Very appealing music, it really has a baroque air about it which is something I love to hear still being created (as long as it is a good tune as well of course). It is a delight to hear that people can still write this kind of music.

I always enjoy listening Paul!
Your creativity is amazing.

A perfect little piece to start the day with.

2-Part Invention in F
Reminds one of an early master of the form, but with a more fluent melody than Papa Bach usually managed. Quite rich and satisfying for "merely" two voices. Thanks for the download. (Only way I can listen to anything on MJ since my computer doesn't have Adobe Flash installed.)

Mmmmmm...
I love the sound you're getting. Puts me in mind of some of the playing on Jethro Tull's SONGS FROM THE WOOD album (Check out the portative organ on the tunes "Velvet Green," and "Pibroch [Cap In Hand"]).

Nice job as always Paul. :-)

Be well friend!

I can see JSB
playing this if he were around today and in a playful mood. Entertaining a pleasure to hear Paul.

For me,
this evoked powdered wigs, minstrels, and jesters. Taken back in time when things were simpler (and just a bit more deadly). Who says there no such thing as a time machine.

Two voices, one motif
This is very charming. It's Bach's two voice inventions plus half a century of evolution in harmony. It's a pity that you didn't do more with the one measure of inversion. I was hoping for a whole inverted section.

This has got a touch...
...of that spooky, space flutiness that organs can do...and a sense of distance as if heard from the far nave in an echoey space...
