Even better Jemimah &mdash 03/29/05 - 06:18:10 PM
You have gotten some great sound out of JamPack4.
Excellent mixing. The middle section remains what I think
really makes this piece so good. You keep the tension
building, but the strings and horns add some real
emotion.

Great percussion. These are all loops?

I love the new, quiet, uplifting ending. You are a very
talented, productive 15-year-old. Do you ever have
homework?

Thanks Tom! I used JamPack 4 loops. This song is completely only loops.
Good to hear that you like the last part:) And yes. I have alotta homework. But
alot of time I'm doing Garageband, and NOT studying, so my parents get
angry at me. haha. i'm a "BAD".

Thanks for listening:)

Great job &mdash 03/29/05 - 10:54:40 PM
You did a really nice job with this. Lot's of great energy
from those instruments playing off of each other.
Definately feel the fighter in it, but it still transitions
seemlessly to the peaceful ending.

Wow! &mdash 03/30/05 - 04:36:23 AM
I am impressed,
This is a great Track WH. Nicely arranged with a wonderful
sense of suspense that builds and flows throughout the
track. I love your use of instuments, the softness of the
flute against the horns sounds great.

I'm very impressed with the whole of this..

Cool, keep up the good work

Soundtrack scoring adn wonderful arranging &mdash 03/30/05 - 09:41:47 AM
You have the spirit of flight in this song, thats for sure.
Yes, classic soundtrack music. To my ears, there is a lack
of melody content and modulation that would enable it to
work as a classical music concert piece, until the final
phrase, which is stunning. But the understated nature of it
all, combined with the wonderful arranging and color
changes, would make it a great soundtrack piece.

Ever hear the soundtrack to Conan the Barbarian?
(If you haven't you really ought to.)
I was just mentioning it the other day...and then all
of a sudden this song comes along. It is very
reminiscent of the opening song to Conan. Especially
the bugle/trombone/tuba (brass) sounds.

Well laid out. Very thematic and exciting. If I need
dramatic music to go to a battle sequence, this
would be perfect. It gets a little bit more modern
military with the single trumpet and piccolo
things...which is still within the context of the song,
but not as thrilling or moving as the big brass 'hand-
to-hand foot battle' elements conjured up when I
hear those particular orchestra sections.

If it was a little less 'TAPS'/'Patriot Games' at points
and had more 'medieval' feelings and voicing...it
would be far more compelling for me. As-is you did
a fantastic job creating a well focused orchestration.

Can't wait to try it on the cans.

Powerful Piece &mdash 03/30/05 - 10:38:38 AM
Very emotional music. Anyone hearing it would have to
get involved. You wouldn't be able to ignore this one.
Obviously you have a great sense of musicality. I would
think about getting some formal training later on. You
might have a future career in music waiting but it will take
work just like putting this piece together did.

...I dig this song! Yall know how big a sucker I am for
soundtrack music, and this piece more than fits the bill.
Keep this is up young lady and I might have to just quit
while I'm ahead. The soft understated ending was an
unexpected delight (I'm a sucker for bombastic
cacophanous fanfare blasts!), oh yeah, you're good you.
You, you're good.

This is the second song ive listened to by you and again I like it. Very dark sounding and better than the last one i heard. This one is nice and long too. Do you use a midi keyboard to play or are you just using your regular mac keyboard?
