Loops, loops, ... This one is a bit electronic and repeating but my intent was to use only the loops in the small package provided - which would have made an interesting constraint for the contest. I'm sure the winning entry will be something that buries 3 loops behind great vocals or live instrumentals. I take your feedback seriously, but I don't think loops have much to do with it. I think your observation is that there isn't enough melodic variation to hold your interest. Whether I attempted that with loops or with a keyboard is immaterial. Loops, loops, ... Partly it's the lack of melody. But you can do more with loops. Take a loop, and play just the first couple of notes (4 times), then a couple more notes (again, 4 times), then the full loop. That way you actually build up something from the basic material. I think you may want to spice it up a bit with some of your
won melodies on top - right now it sounds like a layered
sequence of background loops.
