Wayside

Description
There's a intro to set the mood, it gets a bit more upbeat. This is one of our strangest tracks, and that's saying something. There was a spooky vibe when we recorded it. Such as sound anomalies and whatnot.

Lyrics
Verse 1
I hate my life in a passionate way
Cursed with a thirst that won't go away
Condescending footsteps
are headed your way
Your name is unknown
and they keep it that way

Hey

Verse 2
Destruction derby of the last decade
Has taken a toll that I cannot pay

Pay

Chorus
Fall by the wayside
I left high school
lost the will to live
Now here I am

Hey

Verse 3
I've got four walls
Two more than I've friends
I have the evidence
I know where heaven ends

Hey

Chorus
Fall by the wayside
I left high school
lost the will to live
Now here I am

Effective, sparse, haunting
Very cool feel. Great rhythm, groove, vocal layering; nice
sound choices. Depressing lyrics, which are ok but maybe
a bridge with something to give it more context, an edge.
Hard to explain. I like "I have the evidence/ I know where
heaven ends." I know its supposed to be claustrophobic,
but it just seems like something is missing from the story.
Nearly all of the instrument entrances (like the drums)
come on the downbeat of a measure, and maybe sneaking
them in a more pick-up note, terraced way might work
better. Still, very cool idea and interesting, effective,
sparse track.

I like the ...
the interplays:
such as the soft vocals, almost a monk feel.
The soft voices, I enoyed.
There is that electric guitar riff that sets a nice tone.

You have some nice stuff in there. It seems there is a
softer side trying to get out.

Another hit!
Your songs are the kind that get better the more you listen to them. I love the rawness, it that is a word.

Another hit!
It's cool to know that people listen to our songs once, let alone more than
that. Thanks again, Breezer for your time and comments.
