Description:
Featuring Amanda Chapman on vocals.

Lyrics:
Bricks are square and hard and unfeeling.
And just like you it’s destined for bigger things.
(One brick does not a wall make)
Stood alone, a brick is just the beginning.

Gotta get outta here!
I’m gonna build me a wall.
I’m gonna build me a foundation.
I’ve gotta get outta here!
I’ve gott afind me a brick.

You won’t find a man
Who can do you like I can,
Toss you up and over,
make you slip across my tan,
make you scream, make you cry,
make you feel you wanna die,
I’m the tracks for your tram,
I’m the gas in your van.
You won’t find a man
You won’t find a man
Who can do you like I can.

Bricks are tough and square and enduring.
And just like you, they’re a step in right direction.
(One brick does not a wall make)
Stood alone, a brick is the measure of creation.

An endless quest,
A brick:
I cannot search forever ,
Though I will till I die.
I will find you.

My theory aint crazy
And I cant be a lady while I’m looking for a man
And The shit’ll hit the fan
If he can’t hold up to the image of the brick
Then I’d rather have a book
And I know where to look.
And I’m telling you baby
I wanna have a man like a brick, like a fan.
Who know’s how to be a man to woman
Who aint shy, of his girly side,
Still can tough, like a brick.

Bricks are long, and mean and forgiving.
Just like you, they hold a million secrets.
Yeah. (walls have ears).
Bricks go on, when the mortar is crumbling.
They made fade, but they never, never run away.

Bricks are the heart of the very foundation.

hmmm..... &mdash 04/07/05 - 05:08:46 PM
yeah, I really like this beat, but couldn't get into the
vocals. Don't know what it was, just couldn't. Anyways,
good job at keepin' with the same topic--Bricks. Good
creativity. Good job.

Interesting &mdash 04/07/05 - 08:38:53 PM
I liked everything about this except the lyrics. They aren't
bad, you just may want to look them over again. They
seem a little forced in places. Over all your tune is very
solid, interesting and very well done. You vocalist has a
great voice. The song has a great feel. I like the sound of
the overlapping vocals. It helps give it kind of a sinister
feel. Thanks for sharing.

Amanda's got an amazing voice. I really dug the way this
song was laid out. Interesting groove. Loved it!

love the vocals - strong, entrancing. She has a voice like
ive never heard, so powerful. I like the brick analogy too.
Not really my kinda music usually, but theres definately
serious talent going on. OOh and the heavy guitars rock.

Thanks to you both for the comments! I agree the vocals are outstanding & really make the song. I'm very fortunate to be able to collaborate with such talented people!

Check out "Krackle w/vocals" for another collab with Amanda.

good sound &mdash 04/28/05 - 01:30:48 PM
the groove was mad-cool. guitar sounded awesome.
wasn't vibing with the vocals though, and the
changes were a little predictable...but when the
groove is this cool you really just want to ride it out
and not dillute it with anything too weird, cool song.
