Description:
feel-good song of the year!

Lyrics:

night, she makes
a long, black braid

what's in a name
to someone far above the world

where i'm flying/over your town
-it's lit up like a little jewel;
a shimmering, gold crown...

from the air/these lives
don't seem so far away...

and just before
they grow to a crowded roar
i turn away
from one more everyday

I love the sound of your voice. You have a Nick Drake kinda feel. I would really like to see your lyrics. Something sounds not quite right production wise, I think it is the mic. I wish I could offer some advice, but I am struggling with the same thing. Otherwise, very good stuff!

Interesting &mdash 04/09/05 - 04:53:24 AM
and very well done. I keep expecting the noisy guitar and
drums to kick in for a climactic chorus that never comes,
so I'm left with sense of anticipation that is not relieved. I
find the effect this has on me interesting.

Mysterious Lyrics &mdash 04/09/05 - 05:16:31 PM
I listened to this because I heard your "Weight" song and
thought I'd check out your other tunes. I really like your
lyrics. They are simple but mysterious at the same time.
Your voice is soothing. I hope you post more eventually.
You have a fan in me!

Needs a Kick! &mdash 04/11/05 - 12:06:05 PM
I agee with Mungo. There needs to be a kick in of something else. That could be strings, synth, or even heavy guitar and drums, but something more.

I do like what you have, but it needs to also be louder.

Pay no attention &mdash 04/13/05 - 10:08:35 PM
to those who are waiting for loud guitar licks, hooks and
bridges. The simple, unorthodox construction of this
piece is its real power.

A voice like wind thru a curtain, acoustic guitar like
shadows, a slight organ-glass wash like moonlight. Poetry
set to perfect music. This is pure moment. Excellent.

Signed, sealed and delivered &mdash 04/14/05 - 07:33:35 PM
A wonderful, intimate song of yearning. Not really sure I
understand the meaning of all the words but it really
doesn't matter. You create a splendid vantage point for
reflection. This has the warmth and connection of an
acoustic Seal song.

Love the open vowels in your rhymes. They way you sing.

Woman are gods. From the sky. Especially women with hair long enough to braid.
